“Worth the visit.”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

I had not read about Christ's Church prior to our visit to Alexandria. Thanks to Trip Advisor, I looked for attractions nearby and stumbled on to this historical church.
Our guide, Harley, was a wealth of information about church history and Alexandria. A true ambassador.
It was fun to sit George Washington's pew, and to learn about the other important people that worshiped in the same pew.
Don't miss Christ's Church!!

The church was very interesting and the woman who was watching the church was very nice. It was a good place to sit and rest.

“Would not miss this one!”

This is a must do in Alexandria. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Not only information about the church but many things about the town. Lots of history in this church and much was learned here. Cost is just a donation

“When Churches Were Not Free”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Church reminds us a lot of the early St. Paul’s Church close to the 9/11 Ground Zero Site. If you have never seen an old church with the boxes and looked around when people once paid for seats in the church. For those of you that have never heard of this concept – it is one of the founding principles of the “Free” Methodist Church but I digress. Long story short, it is a nice visit with a little history and place of reverence. Probably not best for small kids.

“Christ Church”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This is really a terrific place to visit. Not just the church grounds but listen to the history inside. You can see Washington's pew up front and appreciate the simplistic, yet beautiful sanctuary. The stained glass windows are original. It's really a wonderful piece of history.
