“Light and Sustaining”
Reviewed 13 October 2013 via mobile

Three friends anxious to eat a light meal and enjoy a glass or two of vino. We stumbled across this little gem. We shared the escargot and fig, kiwi fruit, strawberry and Gorgonzola appetiser. Entree of lasagne, scallops and seafood chowder. Generous and tasty. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

“Fine neighborhood restaurant”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

Back for a second time, we had another excellent dinner here. Wide choices on the menu, with several specials. Friendly, professional service and reasonable prices. Quiet restaurant. Just a fine place for an evening's meal.

“Great Spot”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

Villa Di Este is a quiet little restaurant with outdoor seating, real linens on the table, superb service and fantastic food. What else is there? Stopped in for lunch (soup and salad), everything was so fresh and delicious, I would have been happy to eat there for every meal.

“Very disappointed sauce tasted like Franco American”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

My wife and I enjoy having relaxing and delicious dinners on Sunday nights before returning to the work week. This place was bright and didnt have much more atmosphere than a pizza type restaurant.1st of all we can stand ala carte.Entress $18-$30 and salad and addition $8.50. We both got Veal Parm and a Mozzeralla Apptizer(2 little triangles of fried Mozzeralla). Our Veal Parm came and I asked for linguini instead of Angel Hair and got Cappellini. The worst part of the meal is that the sauce tasted like Franco American(Spagettio's) Sauce. The servers never came over during the meal even to ask if I wanted another drink. The place was empty maybe 4 tables. All in all this place was subpar.Tessoro's in DC much better.

“Our anniversary dinner”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

We spent our Monday night anniversary at the Villa. We've eaten here a few times and we appreciate the family run atmosphere and authentic food. The decor needs a drastic remodel. I tend to also judge Italian restaurants by their bread and the bread here isn't special...very standard white slice bread with butter in foil packets. The menu is huge when they start discussing all the specials. It can be hard to decide but also hard to remember. We enjoyed our food and will go back, but we would love to see the bread and atmosphere improvements.
