“Great Slices and salads!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Johnny's offers a huge selection of pizza options byt the slice or you can get a full pie. Their pizzas are true NY style with a thin crust, wonderful sweet and zesty sauce and just enough cheese to make it goopy, but not to overpower. One of their best pizzas is basic cheese with a sprinkle of fresh basil on top. Their basic pepperoni pizza is outstanding as well.

Their salads are amazing. You might get think the prices are hight for them at first glance, but they are huge with good lettuce mixes and lots of toppings. They can top any of the salads offered with fried chicken (pounded and done milanese style) or grilled chicken.

The garlic knots are wonderful - made with their pizza dough and doused with a combo of lots of garlic with butter and olive oil

“Closest Thing to Real NY Pizza in the Area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

Written with an admitted bias as I'm from NY and have spent a lifetime eating pizza up there. As some other reviewers have said, this is the closest thing I've found to NY pizza in the area and there are definitely some pluses and minuses. We tried 4 different slices: regular pepperoni, buffalo chicken, sicilian sausage & peppers and Papa Joe's (which, for those intimate with NY pizza, is very similar to Grandma Pizza). The Papa Joe's was, by far, my favorite. It was the most flavorful and really satisfying. The others were fine, but nothing to spend time writing about.

Depending on how much you need to actually get full, this place can become expensive given that each slice is about $4

“Pretty sad”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2013

Prices high, getting a correct order taken nearly impossible, and the food is just not that good. The deep dish pizza is all bread no topping. Low on atmosphere, staff is friendly, but it just doesn't add up to a nice meal, either sit down or carry out.

“Filling pizza, great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2013

Whether you like New York style huge pizze slizes or Chicago style deep dish, Johnny's is the very best in town. They have several lunch combo meals that are true values, but the basic one is best: one slice of any specialty pizza on display, plus a bous slice of regular New York style pizza, with a drink. You will not be hungry afterward.

Johnny's also offers pasta dishes, which I like also. But you go there for the pizza - Johnny's specialty.

Everything about Johnny's food and value is 5-star. The inside dining is small, somewhat crowded, and definitely not private. Just get the meal to go, and all is well.
