Description: Opened in 1998 in the West End of historic Alexandria, Virginia, Clyde's at Mark Center is a vivid celebration of sporting life on the water. Thirty-five years after Clyde's opened in Georgetown, this property showcases our evolution from restaurants to full-scale atmospheres. From an Adirondack fishing camp to a Chesapeake Bay hunt club, each room memorializes the beauty and adventure found on the water. When you can't visit Nantucket in person, Mark Center is gloriously outfitted with antique model sailboats, a replica Potomac boathouse and a cozy beach shack and bait shop that's ready to welcome any sea dog.

Whether for a quick or leisurely mid-week lunch, after work, dinner with friends or Sunday Brunch, this is a reliably good establishment.
Clyde's Mark Center always has friendly servers and dynamite bartenders who are also professionals at their craft. Menus offer range of choices and changing specials, solo or with friends, family or a blind date. I do wish that there was an actual outside seating area and that the property's landscaping was maintained better as it could be very attractive. Love this Clyde's!

Went for the lobster special recently. Oysters to start could not have been more flavorful. Clyde's secret is to keep them well chilled in a generous bed of ice. Lobster was delicious. The restaurant is an institution with each being a little different, and each room is also different. Favorite at this place is America's Cup room. Drinks are presented well - Grey Goose goes well with the Oysters. Wine list is not ostentatious, and actually offers some wonderful and affordable selections. Reception area is generally friendly, wait staff is generally customer oriented, some more than others. I have been told that bar scene is Cheers-like.

We love coming to eat here specially on Sundays for brunch, the coffee cake is just like grandma's, I always treat myself to a bloodymaryland, and the food is like having your own tailored menu to satisfy your cravings.

In my eyes Clyde's, in Mark Center, Alexandria, Virginia, is a Five Star Restaurant. From the food, to the service, and the interior, this is one of the finest restaurants in which I have had the pleasure of eating.

Mark Center is a celebration of sporting on the water that highlights sculling, yachting, waterfall hunting, canoeing, and fishing.

They use the finest ingredients. The produce comes directly from the local farms, and the seafood comes mostly from the Chesapeake. You can't find any better.
