“Good food but on the pricey side”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Decided to stop at the Majestic Cafe while in town after reading some reviews online. We were able to find room for 12 without a reservation. Had the Chesapeake Bay Seafood Stew for dinner. Food was very good, but at $24 for a few pieces of seafood quite a bit overpriced. The same was true for the beverage selection.

“Best food on King Street!”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

This restaurant is such a gem! Great food, fun atmosphere and seasonal specials is what makes this place such a great find. Prices are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it!

“Delicious home cookin'”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We had dinner for a party of 7 at Majestic. It is a small space, but comfortable with a diner type feel. The service was prompt, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening. We ordered several apps to share. A delicious chicken liver pate with a dark cherry relish, fresh guacamole made table side and served with warm mini soft tortillas, and shrimp bisque. All had a real home made taste. The bisque was a bit salty but creamy with a fresh seafood flavor. Mains included a seafood stew, scallop dish served on squid ink risotto, and a delicious roast chicken with couscous . All of our party were happy with what they ordered. we found a good Cab France to accompany the meal. We shared an order of Churros with chocolate dipping sauce and a mango tart for dessert. The tart was outstanding. Churros, by nature, are a bit greasy for me, but they looked and tasted fresh and authentic. Overall, a very nice evening, reasonably priced. They offer a price fix menu which includes an app., main course, and dessert for 39$ The steak and some of the seafood dishes have a 3-5$ surcharge if ordered as part of the price fix deal.

“Majestic Mother's Day”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

On Mother's Day, my husband, two children, and I walked in to the Majestic on a whim without a reservation. We were pleasantly surprised they were able to seat us right away. From start to finish, we had a delightful time. Most of us ordered the Sunday fried chicken special, which was delicious - excellent fried chicken, corn, grown-up mac and cheese, and coleslaw. Desert was the best strawberry shortcake I ever remember having. They had also concocted a spectacular cocktail in honor of Mother's Day. The service was very attentive and sweet (the chef came to our table). It was a lovely and relaxing meal that put all of us in a very good mood!

“Delicious Food in Old Town!”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

The Majestic is a little gem of a restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. We ordered steak and salmon and it was excellent. The prices are reasonable as well. We ordered alcohol with our dinner which always increases the bottom line. I would call ahead for reservations because it did get very busy when we were there.
