We've been dining in Alexandria for years, but I never noticed this restaurant because the entrance to the hotel and restaurant are on a side path off Alfred Street--very elegant but unobtrusive behind a small fountain. We dined during Restaurant Week and are so glad to know this place. The waiter was super solicitous with great advice. The dining room was only half full on a Thursday night. The appetizers were unusual--vegetable terrine looked so pretty; escargot pastry light and flaky with great flavor. Scallops to die for and good, rich lamb pastry main courses. The mille feuille dessert is more peaches and cream than French pastry but good. A fine dining experience which we will repeat. There is also a more casual room with entertainment at 8 pm down the hall, which we didn't try.
