“A Great Park for Family Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Another Northern Virginia Regional Park, Cameron Run is a terrific spot for the entire family on a summer day. The Great Waves section is very exciting with its constant ebb and flow of water as well as the numerous slides that spill into the basin. The batting cages are open for baseball players (and fans) who want to sharpen their skills at the plate in order to better contribute to their teams. The 18-hole miniature golf course winds up and down along a ridge of land that includes a waterfall and lots of running water. The holes seem to be easy, but in fact are difficult to par even for experienced golfers. The entire place is well-maintained and is moderately priced. Cameron Run has a large parking lot so there is plenty of room for everyone.

“Come here to see The Aces!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

It's so heartwarming to see these college baseball top athletes compete each summer in the Cal Ripken league. Tickets are only $1 on Mondays, $5 other times. The athletes spend the summer playing ball as they are hosted by local families in their homes. They play their hearts out, and some in fact do go on to play in the Major Leagues.

“the beach in the 'hood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

we love Great Waves at the Cameron Run Regional Park...it's our beach in the 'hood...an oasis nestled between I-95 and the CSX railroad tracks. The facility has a large wave pool and an astro-turfed "beach" surrounding the pool. A great respite on the weekends during the summer. The facility fills-up quickly on the weekends...get there early to ensure entrance. The wave pool attracts a diverse group of people. But not too different from Ocean City or Virginia Beach. So, it's great for people watching ... especially those in bikinis who shouldn't be. Finally, If you believe that you'll be a regular, the "Bounce Pass" is the best deal...$85 for the season (and $70 for each additional family member). Five or six visits breaks you even.

No outside food or drink permitted but you can bring in bottled water. Fair. If you're sly and not a soda drinker ... Perrier, San Pellegrino, etc. is considered water. "It's fancy water" but it's still water. Just make sure it's in plastic not glass.

“Especially nice for a Walk with the dog”

Not as busy as some with bikers and strollers so a real find for a quiet peaceful walk. We go whenever we are in the area so at least every couple of weeks.

“My kids had a great time.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

I got a groupon deal 16$ for 4 after 4pm. On arriving from the Main Street we didn't see a sign "great waves waterpark" so we passed it. The sign just has Cameron run park on it. Unless we missed seeing the waves park sign. Had no issues with parking. Parking is free. Didn't have any issues using my coupon. Just showed the front office my phone, in we went. The kid pools are past the wave pool. The wave pool was much warmer than the kid pools. Kids do not care. The splash area had a lot of peeling paint, that's normal cuz the water. 1 of the kids slide was not in operating. The curve one was. A lot of kids without parental supervision so there was a lot of ditching lines. It's hard to tell your kids to wait your turn when the majority are not. We didn't eat there or try the big slides. My kids are only 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. Overall I would go again because my kids loved it. Would I pay full admission? I doubt it.
