Stayed here with my dog because it was the only pet friendly hotel in the area that didnt charge $50+ for a pet fee. I trusted the reviews on trip advisor and booked from the road so i didnt have time to research thorughly. But i wish i had stayed someplace else. To start, its not the best area, and it looks like a shabby run down motel. The rooms are small, no fridge, no micro, and the worst was the loud construction they had going on all day. It said they stop at 5 pm but they went well into 6pm with the noise. I felt like a prisoner in the room because there were men working directly outside my door. The drilling and jackhammering was so loud i thought they were going to drill right through the wall and into my room. I feel like they should have mentioned this before i booked the room. The large windows face the outside walkway so people can see right in. This means you have to keep it closed all the time so you end up without any natural light. My dog was freeked out with all the noise amd workers outside our door. They left buckets and equipment outside my door which made it weird and awkward everytime i had to enter and leave my room. The grounds are small with only a small grassy area for dog walks, they do offer bags but it looks like no one picks up here. There is no restaurant on site, and no breakfast. I didnt trust to walk barefoot on the carpet and instead wore flip flops. They only give you 3 small pillows the size of cotton balls, and i also decided to sleep in long sleeve and long pants. It just didnt seem clean enough not to --granted this is my first time at a red roof inn, and i know the construction was a huge factor in me not liking this place, however i could only see someone stayng here as a quick one nght sleepover and then get back on the road. Definately not a family place, dfinately not a vacation. Seems dangerous and run down. I only left the room once to get food - plenty of chain restaurants nearby. Also seems overpriced at $99 with tax, when i paid that much at a Hampton Inn that also took dogs and was like the ritz compared to this. Definately more like a $50 a nite place.

Room Tip: Request a room with a fridge because not all rooms have them

We stayed 7 days and the staff was great all the staff that is from the young man I first met and booked with and the cleaning staff went out of the way to take care of us. Great place to stay and we will only stay at red Roof Inn for now on.

I often stay at Red Roof Inns because of the low rates and nice accommodations. This location did not disappoint. The property has been completely renovated as is the case with the most of the chain. The room was clean and comfortable. The desk help was very pleasant, especially the young man who checked us out in the morning. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor but the motel has a nice large elevator so we had no problem getting upstairs.

We will be in the area again soon and will definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: You get the best deals at Red Roof Inns when you book online. Also, be sure to sign up for the Redi...

We lodged at the Red Roof Inn on our drive down to Florida. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean, modern and up to date the rooms were. Not only was the hotel in a great location and very clean but it was very very reasonable. They offered us a AAA discount as well. Well worth it and all for less than $50!

It was all that I needed for the day. Great location, right off the beltway, plenty of shopping, restaurant, bowling, right on Richmond Hwy. Movie theater located next exit off the beltway. Staff was friendly. Room was cleaned, floor needed vacuum, internet was free and bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for the third floor.

Stayed at the Red Roof for a week in August. We were very pleased with our choice. The rooms are spacious, well maintained, generally clean, and feature free wifi. One suggestion though; it might be a good idea to replace the floor carpet. Walking around barefoot left you with black residue on your feet. Otherwise, there's really nothing to complain about.

The location is perfect. Alexandria's historic district with many restaurants is just a short 10 minutes ride away. It's easy and fast to get to downtown DC with its many sights and it's a good staging point for day-trips to the capital region or to other places of interest in Virginia.

This is a truly excellent Red Roof. The rooms are well appointed, well maintained and very clean. The staff are friendly and efficient. We have stayed in many Red Roof hotels over the years and this ranks amongst the best. It's in a good location too, very close to the historic sites of D.C. and of course, Alexandria Old Town and Mount Vernon, home of George Washington. Decent accommodation at a more than decent price - what more could you ask for?

Room Tip: A room at the back of the hotel away from the road is a good choice.
