“Good sandwiches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2012

Boar's head meats combined with interesting bread options, cheeses and other toppings to create fun, delicious and slightly expensive sandwiches. Yum! Nice to have a breakfast option in town that opens early, too!

“Good lunch stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2012 via mobile

We were en route to Lexington and found this place through trip advisor. It is easy to get here on the business loop off the highway. Despite the court-themed sandwich names (The Prosecutor, The Bailiff, The Proof, The Acquittal), this is a very friendly place. They use Boar's Head meats and they don't skimp. I had The Lawyer, with smoked turkey, bacon, pepper jack cheese and tomato on panini, and it was filling and tasty. That is a typical one from the menu, but you can also design your own (The Hung Jury). Spiced chips that were served with were excellent. Our only complaint was that there was no jar for Tips at the cash register!

“Good place for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2012

All the sandwiches are named after various court related subjects. I have the convict, roast beef with munster cheese and horseradish. Wife had the a lettuce wrap, forgot the name. Bith were very good. Sandwiches also come with their homemade potato chips. They were outstanding. Will be back.

“Nice little place. Great home made chips.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2012

Lee's Courthouse Deli is a little spot opposite the courthouse with a wide variety of sandwiches and salads named for legal practices, such as the baliff and convict. We both had the grilled cheese, bacon & tomato sandwich on rye: delicious and huge (bread is about 7" long). A half sandwich & soup would still be a good sized sandwich. It also comes with home made potato chips, with a choice of salted or chipotle & cinnamon- wonderful - and a pickle. The staff were very friendly. The deli is only open for breakfast & lunch but I overheard them talking about running special dinners.

Amherst is a little town north of Lynchburg, VA and you are not likely to just happen across it but if you are in the area, Lee's is a good place to stop for lunch. If you are driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is a short diversion off.
