Owner description: When it was dedicated in 1997, the Women's Memorial became the first major American memorial to honor women who have served in the United States military. The memorial also marks the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery.

A nice little museum, with changing exhibits. Every woman who served her country should be listed in their records; they encourage people to sign up anyone they know. Very friendly staff, willing to help in any way.

On the bus tour of the Cemetery, the driver pointed out the Women in Military Service building, but from the bus, it looked like merely a wall and the driver did not say that there were very interesting exhibits inside. You can't tell from the outside. It's within walking distance of the Visitor Center and JFK gravesite and is definitely worth seeing. One side point - it's the only place at Arlington Cemetery that sells bottled water - critical for the hot days.
