“Wish I could rate this hotel better”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

As the title says I wish I could rate this hotel higher. The plusses...great location, friendly staff (we even checked in 3 hours early without issue), and it provided us with exactly what we needed which was a clean place to spend the night.
Whats stopping me from rating it higher?
I wish they would have made it more clear that there was interior/exterior options.
Our room was clean (and fairly quiet even though we were in a high traffic area) but had a lot of wear and tear-stains on the bathroom floor, worn walls etc.
But our major issue was the room service. When I called they said it would take 35-45 minutes it took over an hour. The menu both in our room and online had a brownie listed for $2.50 when I tried to order it I was told they don't do brownies anymore but they now have a hot fudge cake for $6.95 a slice and was promised it was "real real good".I know that room service is expensive but I spent over $30 for a small cheese pizza, a slice of cake and 2 bottles of water my only request spending that much for so little is that it be good. It wasnt. The pizza was barely luke warm and the cheese was rubbery...the hot fudge cake was a slice of chocolate cake that had just recently taken out of the fridge and was kind of stale.
We would probably do another short stay at this hotel but not more than a night...and definitelywould never do the room service

The Best Western is an excellent hotel for the money! The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. What more could you ask for? Well, better weather would be nice but the freezing temps aren't their fault!

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location is good and close to the metro and the major road network around DC. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The fitness room is a tiny room with a treadmill, bicycle and a x-trainer, nothing more. No restaurant at the hotel but a diner at the compound, expensive one.

Tried to save some money for a week in Washington and could have spent three or four times the cost of this hotel easy. Saved some many and spent it by extending our holiday. Hotel was good for the price and one of the features we found very useful was that it was a short 10 minute walk from the Metro underground rail system. We purchased a $20.00 metro card and travelled every where we wanted for a week it was a great way to get around. Washington Central was only a couple of stops away one side and Arlington memorial cemetery and the pentagon and pentagon city the three stops on the other side. Some nice Resteraunt's with in walking distance. Room was clean and neat, Fridge, microwave and coffee maker all working. The website wasn't clear it looked like no Resteraunt on site however there is a Resteraunt and pizza place that serves breakfast and all cheaply priced so that wasn't a problem.
We were there in the cold snap but we didn't need the room heater at all.
On site Laundry was handy and only three dollars to wash and dry so that was good before we moved on as some hotels it's really cheaper just to throw your clothes away and buy new ones when you see the cost of the hotel doing it for you. I would certainly stay here again but next time need to take two weeks to scratch the surface of all the Washington sites.

Excellent location, if you're planning in visiting DC and don't have the money to pay for the everyday parking, and $200 per day in a hotel room, this is your best option. It's only 3 stations away from DC and the museums. What you spend in the metro is not even close to the $25 dollars a day per parking. Plus parking is free and the staff is excellent. Hotel doesn't offer breakfast but there's a panera right by the metro station 5min away. If I come back that's where I am staying.

Perfect location, easy walk to the metro and restaurants. Excellent quality and friendly staff for the cost of the hotel. I would definitely stay here if I return to Arlington area again and recommend this for others. Easy to get to off expressways coming from the north. Plus the free underground parking was perfect!
