From the minute we checked in (just after 1 am) the staff at the hotel was extremely helpful. The overnight shift offered to get our bags so we could park the car, offered us shuttle services for the morning, and gave us a brief run down of the area services all without us asking. The morning shift helped us understand which Metro Lines to take to get to where we were going and even highlighted them on a map for us. The night shift recommended a great kid friendly restaurant and then followed up with us to see if we liked it. And upon check out, I asked for directions and they were printed out immediately. Our room was comfortable and quiet as well. It made my first experience in the area, so much less stressful than I expected!!

Overall very good. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and quite. There was a 24 hour grocery store right downstairs. There was also many restaurants downstairs. Great location. Staff was helpful. Will stay at Hilton Garden Inn again.

Stayed here in April 2014 for eight days. The property is clean and the front desk is responsive.

The location is not near DC Metro, but a free shuttle is offered by the hotel. The shuttle will take you to and from the Pentagon City Metro and Reagan airport. The shuttle service was very good.
We did not eat at the restaurant, but enjoyed the complimentary coffee and cookies in the lobby. The pool was tiny, with a lifeguard. Hotel parking is across the street in a parking structure.

Nearby were restaurants, a public library and a Harris Teeter supermarket that is open 24hrs.

I have stayed at this hotel for work several times over the last three years and I have always had a good stay. Past stays have been excellent. This stay was just average. Yes, the location is great for us and the hotel is always clean. However, I've noticed a decline in the amenities and the quality of the staff. For example, they used to host a manager's reception with appetizers and drinks on Wednesdays. That was really nice to attend wtih coworkers after a long day. The reception was done away with quite some time ago. This stay I also noticed that they did away with towels and a water cooler in the workout room, and have also moved from real glasses and mugs in the rooms to paper cups. I HATE paper cups in a hotel room. They are not environmentally friendly and they make me feel like I'm staying at a motor lodge. Finally, the pillows needed to be replaced and my mattress had seen better days. While I still like this place for the location, It's clear that they are not maintaining it in the same way they used to.

Finally, be wary if you are staying for work and have a pre-arranged shuttle. We have never had so much trouble with them. We all traveled in Monday morning and reported directly to work. Although the person who secured our block of rooms also negotiated shuttle service for us each morning and evening, they failed to send someone to get us the first evening until after serveral calls to the hotel. Our 4:15pm pick-up never arrived until after 5pm. We had similar troubles throughout our stay and the front desk staff would insist that we had no shuttle reservation, while the sales manager would confirm that we did. Clearly no one knew what was going on, nor did they seem to care. Despite being nearly an hour late at least two nights, we didn't receive a single apology from the staff or manager.

Room Tip: If you don't care about a view (and really, there's nothing much to see here), ask for a qui...

Clean and neat hotel with excellent shuttle service to the metro. Walking distance to a variety of good places to eat. Grocery store right across the street which was perfect for picking things up quickly and easily. Lots of parking available. Definitely a nice place to stay and would stay there again!
