Excellent breakfasts/brunch. I hate to share my secret -- but if there's a wait at Metro 29 or Cassatts -- this place can easily provide a tasty weekend breakfast -- often with no rush. Also great as a neighborhood bar to get a beer at on a weeknight.

The name is a bit deceiving since this is not a country bar. They have good casual fare like burgers & chili but when I lived around the corner, I went for nice relaxing drinks. After work, to avoid the typical hotel bar for evening relaxation, I enjoyed many a night (even weekends) without all the hype.

We go every Tuesday night for Half-price Burger Nite. The burgers are nicely cooked and you can get them done in an imaginative variety of ways. They have good beers. It's a dive, but it's a NICE dive!

The Cowboy Cafe is one of the best local bars I've ever visited. It is the perfect mix of all parts of Arlington. Working class folks, fire fighters, cops and college students all mix perfectly with suburbanite professionals. (All in various class appropriate t-shirts brands.)

The great thing about CC is that you don't have to sacrifice anything on food or drink for the cozy/divey decor.

House cured meats, homemade pickles, perfect hamburgers and daily specials all trick you into thinking your at some gastro pub in DC. No pretentious hipsters thankfully. The owners are brothers and love food and booze as much as their happy customers. They are often behind the bar or supeervising their rapidly expanding catering business.

Solid house wines and Gourmet beers on tap. Abita is a tribute to their NOLA connections.

Half price burgers on Tuesday nights are like a reunion every week.

Cowboy Cafe is a good place for burgers and sandwiches, and they have a good bar to hang out or watch the game at. Best to go on half-price burger night or for the Sunday brunch, where they have chicken fried steak, hash, and classic cowboy grub.
