Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport

There is nothing wrong with this hotel at all, except that Wifi costs $9.99 for 24 hours. Very clean, nice lobby, and I personally loved the glass elevators that gave you a nice view of Crystal City when high enough. The pool was really small for a hotel this large. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the concierge and bellhops. Close to the metro and the Fashion Center at Pentagon City (Very large and expansive mall with 4 floors). Overall, a great stay.

My family of 6 stayed here during our trip to Washington D.C. and were pleasantly surprised to find that it only took 10 minutes to get to downtown D.C. by rental car. There were lots of surrounding restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel itself was clean and spacious enough for 5 adults (yes, one slept on two sofa chairs put together). Bathroom was a bit cramp with the toilet and shower and small sink area all in one room. Personally, I prefer to have the sink in an open area so that others may use it while someone is taking a shower.

The only down side is that parking is either on the street (meters, but free from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am) or a parking garage next door that's not connected to the hotel. But then again, that's why everyone says D.C. is not designed for driving...you should really take the metro everywhere you go!

We normally stay at a Hyatt when we can, and this one was no disappointment. We were here for a convention held in the hotel, so we did not actually get to go outside. The room was immaculate, beds very comfortable, bathroom a bit on the small side but adequate for our needs. Had to pay extra for internet and valet parking, but the gym was free and very nice. We ate in the hotel's restaurant for breakfast and at the bar for lunch and late-night snacks, and food was really good. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I were in the area.

I recently attended a business meeting at the Hyatt Regency. As far as accommodations go, the meeting rooms were plentiful and spacious. They weren't completely soundproof, however, as a concurrent conference convening in a nearby room was making enough noise to be heard clearly and quite audibly in our room. The staff were friendly (those that spoke sufficient English), but no more so than other classy hotels.

The rooms were spacious - nice, but nothing extraordinary. The bathrooms were rather small with an opaque glass door, so make sure you're on more familiar terms with whomever you're staying. My major complaint was the elevators. Though they are glass-enclosed to afford a lookout of the city or the hotel, they were EXTREMELY slow and often over-packed due to the long wait times. Perhaps it's time to install some additional 'vators. At any rate, add an extra 5 minutes to your travel time if you're running late somewhere - the elevators will not be your friend in that instance. Oh, yeah, internet is $10... per 24 hours!

The hotel is situated strategically. The Metro is only 5-10 minutes away, or you can take the Metro Shuttle that runs every 15 minutes. There is also an Airport Shuttle to DCA that runs every 20 minutes.

This hotel has been under rennovations for a couple of years. It's now finished and looks amazing. We come here every year with a group of students for our annual youth tour. Typically, we have zero issues with the hotel, but this year we had a couple of problems. The biggest issue was that because it was a group, the hotel didn't want to allow any incidentals charged to a room... this included internet access, laundry service, etc. So, I had to go to the front desk four times with my credit card to pay for these services. Each time, I was then harrassed by a lady at the front desk to come down IMMEDIATELY to settle my bill. Each time, I had to explain that my credit card was on file. It was such a frustrating inconvenience. So finally, I just spoke to a manager and we didn't have any other problems.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City for a business conference. This conference is held at the Regency annually and I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel updates from last year. They updated their bar/lounge area, as well as some of the rooms, coffee bar and décor. I was given a room on the 18th floor. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed/bedding was extremely comfortable. The room service was also very enjoyable. Everything tasted freshly prepared & it was brought to me in a timely manner.
My only negative statement about this facility is waiting for the elevators. I had to wait for about 5 minutes every time I needed to travel to my room. The line was so backed up in the lobby that the check-in staff allowed us to use the service elevators on a few different occasions.
All in all, the facility is a great place to stay and most importantly its located right in the middle of most businesses. It also has easy access to the metro.

Here's the breakdown:
- Reliable and quick shuttle transportation to and from Washington National airport
- Efficient and friendly staff. They know what business travelers need and have obviously been well trained.
- Clean rooms with lots of desk space and power plugs.
- Super comfortable beds
- Freeze your *** off air conditioning! If you like to sleep cool and have control over your room temperature, this hotel has it.
- good food from the in hotel restaurant
- Surprisingly quiet, especially for an airport hotel.
- Typical Hyatt, that's probably what I like about it. Hyatt works hard to get you comfortable. They are fairly expensive, but usually well worth it. This one certainly is.
