The desk clerk at check in was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The room was generally clean, although it would have flunked a white glove test. The wireless access was strong and consistent. This was by far the lowest priced motel through the roadside coupon books.
But a lot of the details were lacking. The towels were very small and threadbare. The walls were paper thin and a lot of noise from outside made it into the room, especially when other guests were hanging outside of the neighbor’s door. The room door could only be opened when holding the handle in a certain manner. The room floor creaked with every step. The fridge had no shelves. There was no phone in the room. And even though it didn’t affect me, there was a summons taped on the door of a nearby unit, implying that someone was there long enough to make this a permanent address.
Because of the friendly staff, I wanted to score this motel higher, but the flaws in the building were too glaring to ignore. Only extraordinarily tolerant budget travelers should try this place.
