Heard great reviews about the chef, so tonight must have been an off-night.
The place was hammered, so the noise level was high. Some people were shrieking!
We were greeted and seated promptly, but it took a long time for things to arrive. They told us they were glad that the third person in our party was unable to attend, because they were short on tables.
Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable but seemed to have too many tables.
Bread and butter was nearly tasteless...it needed seasoning, so we let the waitress know. She said, "Oh, they change it everyday."
Cocktails were properly prepared except for the lavender cosmo: it had no sugar on the rim and no lavender color nor flavor.
The root salad had only beets in it...I was expecting at least one other type of root.
The Dungeness pasta needed at least a little taste or texture of the crab. The pesto overwhelmed the flavor of the crab (if there was any crab at all).
We were disappointed, so asked the neighboring table if their food was tasty. They were happy with the pork chop and the beef, so maybe we made poor choices.
I think we'll give them another try after some time has passed. After all, it is quite new...
