“Cute little Gem by the River”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

This is a cute little gem found during my visit to Olympic National Park this summer. Was looking for accommodation in the park area close to Lake Quinault as I booked a rain forest tour next morning. I was quite surprised the way this hotel was maintained. It was neat and clean. I called the hotel in advance to confirm if late check-in was okay with them. Front desk mentioned that they will be closing by 9.00 PM but can leave the door open to make my check in easy. Had no issues checking in as we checked in late in the night around 10:30 PM.

As we woke up the morning, walk down to the river and explored few places around. Hotel looked even more beautiful in the morning with the kind of decor they used. There was restaurant at a walking distance. Lake quinault is 3.7 miles from this hotel. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: You can use the fire pit close to the river, it definitely looks beautiful.

This place was lovely, considering the remote location of Lake Quinault, and the outlandish prices of some of the other options in the area.
The management was pleasant, and seemed genuinely interested in us - popped over while we were raring up the fire-pit.
Yes. Fire-pit. It was LOVELY to be able to have a fire, roast some s'mores, and then be able to shower the smoke off, and cuddle in a relatively comfortable bed.
The setting is lovely, right off the river. My husband and I were a bit worried, as the other groups there had multiple yippy dogs, and others had a handful of children, but honestly it was fairly quite. We were impressed that we were one of the last to check out, and yet we hadn't heard anyone else pack up and leave.
The bed is decent, and my biggest (and only, really) complaints are that the pillows were a bit flat, and the water pressure in the shower was...well, dreadful. I have long hair that I couldn't rinse off for the life of me!
They do have a nice looking fitness centre, but we were not expecting that in the slightest and were not equipped to check it out.

simple, no frills room - and yet they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Room condition was clean, neat and very friendly to little kids. we would definitely returning to Quinnault River Inn.

Room Tip: try to request for room no8 to avoid traffic noise from the highway.

We have been guests here four times. Each time has been better than the last. Whenever my soul is in need of soothing the Quinault Rainforest is where I head, and I will never stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean and quiet, the grounds peaceful and the staff is friendly and helpful. I look forward with great anticipation to our next trip out.

Thank you Melynn, for your kind words and wonderful description of our 'Soul Soothing' Inn!

We see so many people who travel like they live, fast and furious...so we always suggest to people who call us to... Slow down. Stay a while. Relax and enjoy our river front hospitality. You may never find a better place to refresh and sooth your soul. It truly is an unforgettable place.

So, thank you again for your confirmation and we'll look forward to your restfull return!

We had an amazing visit in Quinalt River Valley with great hosts at the Inn. It couldn't be more perfect with so many wonderful drives and trails nearby and places to eat from homey to fancy. We would definitely plan a stay there again if our travels take us that way. Thanks Lori and Dan for a wonderful 3 night stay.

Great location: close to highway, close to restaurants, close to hiking trails. The service and friendliness of the staff are superlative. The weather was terrible, but the covered porch allowed us ample room to picnic in a dry place.

Greetings Jim,

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us even though the weather did not cooperate. It is great to know that you enjoyed the recent improvements to the covered deck that allows outside use during all kinds of weather conditions. Over the past few months the covered area has been expanded, and new seating areas, carpeting and paver walkways have been added. We are proud of the results. Just know that the sun does shine here in the rainforest and often! Safe Travels.

The Inn is beautifully designed for peaceful rejuvenation. It's located in a quiet corner of the peninsula, with a fantastic view. The accommodations- bed, bathroom, etc etc- are more than enough for a comfortable stay. Very many nature things to do for the amateur nature enthusiast, and I imagine more things to do for the more hardcore backpacker; Olympic National Park is right around the corner after all.
