My husband and I enjoy coming here in the Springtime. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and it is well worth spending the money for a corner room! Loved the hotels ambiance, and the restaurant has great food.

Room Tip: Get a corner suite!

Springtime in Anacortes is a great time for a Northwest getaway! The corner-view rooms boast some of the best views of the beautiful San Juan Islands or breathtaking Mt. Baker. Thank you, and hopefully we’ll have the pleasure to see you soon.

We arrived at 5:30pm to a smiling front desk clerk. Yes they had our reservation and gave us a bag of freshly ground coffee for the french press in our room. A few minutes later we were in the elevator going up to out room 401. We requested a wheelchair accessible room. Trying to get the chair through the door was hard. If the chair would have been .5 inch wider it would not have fit. The room was pleasant enough. Clean and enough room to get the chair around in. I thought since it was a holiday, they might have done something nice for the room... maybe a little surprise for the guests or even a few decorations but there was nothing. It looked as though they were still working on updates in the room. The ceiling crown molding wasnt finished. The bathroom had no place to set our toiletry items. It would have been nice to have a shower chair in the tub area (no shower for my husband since he cant stand.) and another thing I thought was odd was that there were not any tissues in the room.
I told them when I made my reservations that this was a surprise for my husband due to him having a stroke a few weeks back and was wanting to spoil him, I personally didnt think this was it.
I took him to the restaurant for dinner and even though the food was good, the service was a little lacking. Also, we had to sit in the lounge since the dining room has a step down which doesnt work well with a wheelchair.
Just an after thought, while I was checking in, I mentioned that I had to bring my husband to the room and come back for my bags since I couldnt do it all at once, not one of the three people behind the desk offered to help.

At the Majestic, we strive to provide exceptional customer service—regrettably, we fell short. Our guest service representatives are trained to assist guests at all possible opportunities and our staff did not live up to the Majestic Standard. The room that you stayed in is ADA compliant, and we will look into addressing the concerns you have mentioned. I would appreciate to have the opportunity to speak with you about your recent stay, and hopefully have you back soon.

We stayed at the Majestic Inn to get an early ferry over to Orcas Island. We asked for a quiet room and were put on the backside of the hotel on the 4th floor. We had a balcony...unfortunately, it was over the dumpsters and the kitchen. We laughed about the "quiet" room....because the noise downstairs as the garbage was being picked up at 5AM was our wake up call. Thankfully we were on east coast time, and we wanted that early ferry, so it was not a problem. The room itself was very nice - all the upgrades and amenities you have come to expect. Bath amenities were very nice, too. The breakfast in the morning had juices, cereals, coffee, fruit and the best scones. We would definitely stay there again, it is a charming hotel in a charming town.

We were happy to hear your stay went well. We have contacted the city to ask that our recycling pickup time be moved to later in the day. Thank you for taking the "wake up call" in stride... We hope to see you again soon!

A special "Thank You" to Joe at the front desk...as well as rest of visible staff....Hotel is beautiful on its own...actually took photos of magnificent interior staircases,etc...what a treat to be given the perfect restaurant suggestions, and enjoying the casual, friendly banter...we felt as though we were visiting family...friendly family...This was special. Our room, #308, could not have been lovlier...even the stunning bathroom tissue box was special....Looking forward to returning soon.

For an older hotel we found this to be better than we had expected. While the rooms are smaller it fits the design of that era and they were very clean. They've managed to modernize without losing the charm of a heritage hotel. Most of the staff were wonderful and the free breakfast had a nice, healthy selection. The $25 dinner special in the restaurant gave me a highlight meal I am still craving weeks later! Flat Iron Steak was extraordinary and done to perfection. I would definitely stay here again and find it to be an excellent get-away that's not too far away. We recommended it to friends who thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well a few days later. Looking forward to our next visit :)

How do you separate the environment from the person you're with during a romantic get away? The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us some great debates about the best places to eat in town, though the $25 dinner special was really hard to beat!! The best thing of all was the deliciously slow elevator. It has glass panels on all the sides and is a just amazing place for kissing. Sure the place is older, but the beds are comfy and the views lovely. Cuddling (or making out) in the cupola at the top is so fabulous. We've had a lot of wonderful places to be romantic, but this will always hold a very special place in our hears.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the main street will be quieter.
