We heard about this place from Lonely Planet and we are big fans of Japanese curry so we thought we'd give it a try. It was pretty hard to find! No English sign (as you'd expect since its Japan) and the Lonely planet's description was terrible. Just know it's a place that has almost a swiss cheese style font sign above the door (letters have holes in them. Don't know what it says) and it smells of curry :) Follow your nose when in the vicinity.
We got the beef curry. It came with a massive plate of rice and a silver "gravy boat" of curry. There wasn't much meat in it and it could have been hotter temp (looked like it had sat around unstirred for awhile). Still, the flavour was really nice. They had every condiment and pickle I can imagine to add to it too. The atmosphere was pretty quiet as it was just before closing, so it would have been better during peak times, both in terms of atmosphere and I assume the curry quality too.
I would eat here again, but I'm a fan of Japanese curry. I think it deserves another go too, not just before it closes.
