A most fantastic family run guesthouse.

Right from the very minute you walk in the door you feel at home, you feel welcome and you feel looked after.

Ideally located far enough away from, but still near enough to, all major transport facilities.

Despite the unfortunate recent earthquake in Japan, the Kamakura Guesthouse is open for business as usual. they make you feel as welcome as any family member, and your comfort is ensured at all times. A real delightful friendly place to stay.

Excellent advice for local temples, shrines, and other amenities. Bikes for hire if you want to have a self propelled day out.

This guesthouse really is one of the best of the best. Don't worry about staying here, you will be amazed at the service the family give.

I'm certain should I return to this region of Japan again, i will most certainly be booking in here.

The Kamakura guest house is the most beautiful guest house I have ever stayed in and it has and friendliest owners you could hope find.

The guest house is beautiful, traditionally restored with natural wood and tatami rooms, tatami flooring, wooden structure, sliding doors, an original irori, Japanese bathroom, everything about this guest house is wonderful.

This guest house feels very old, traditional Japanese home, but it has been restored by the owners to be in beautiful condition.

The guest house has two toilets, a traditional Japanese bathroom, a kitchen all which are very well made. The kitchen is for anyone to use and has every thing you could need.

There is free green tea anytime you want.

Sleeping is on very nice soft futons in a dormitory, male and female separate dormitories with a central common area. The futons are very comfy and give you a good nights sleep.

There are cycles for hire here and it is good value and an excellent way to see the many sights of Kamakura... The staff and owners are always ready to give advice on where to cycle too and it is enjoyable cycling around the temples and beaches of Kamakura because the guesthouse lose to the temples and beach, so cycling is very convenient from Kamakura guest house..

The staff are very very friendly and helpful, always ready to help with advice where to go in Kamakura, what sights to see, bus time tables, etc etc.If you have any questions the staff are always ready to help. The staff are very polite and very nice to the guests always.

The owners are the most friendly owners I have met in any guest house, they are helpful, kind and they know so much about Kamakura more than any guide book I have read or any website I have looked at. The friendliness of the owners and staff makes this place feel wonderful.

The guest house location is very good, easy to reach from Kamakura or Ofuna train stations, located close to a bus stop, and close to the Daibutsu temple of Kamakura. It is also quite close to the beach and a lovely ride from the guest house to the beach on cycle.

The kitchen is available to use for guests so you can cook your own food, but usually the owners cook every evening on he irori an old sunken fire that you do not see in many houses in Japan these days, in fact it is the first guest house I have stayed in with an irori, and I have stayed in many many guesthouse, it is a real talking point even for the Japanese guests, they are very surprised to find an irori in the guest house.

he owners cook delicious food on he irori and watching the food cook is wonderful and eating the food is so delicious and so much fun, you really feel like you are in a family home because the food is delicious and everyone is treated to a wonderful at atmosphere with delicious food and lots fun, and if you like to have a drink the owners have beer in the guesthouse too and if you like sake or nihon shu etc well there is that too !

I recommend this guest house to everyone, western Asian, Japanese, any cultures will enjoy the experience of staying at Kamakura guesthouse.... It is just wonderful.

Every time I return to Kamakura I stay here, I can not fault the guest house in any way.....

I have stayed here 3 times now, thats how much I like this guesthouse

It is a wonderful place to stay and I will return there with excitement soon.

Please look at the Kamakura guesthouse website and blog for photos and do not miss out the opportunity to stay at the wonderful place.
