I arrived at La Casita with my best friend during lunch time and I must say this was one of the best food experiences I have every had in Japan! It is a small, quaint restaurant nestled in Kamakura near some amazing Zen temples. The owner and her daughter run the operation and it didn't take me long to figure out that both ladies are fluent in Spanish! Seeing as it is my second language, it was not difficult to order food. They were very helpful and the service was astonishing.
After the meal, which was truly delicious, we decided to have some ice cream and fresh-ground coffee. They have an excellent selection of wines and there is a constant ambient sound of Central American music softly playing in the background.
The owner apparently lived in Guatemala for a long time and developed her language and cooking skills during her stay.
I cannot recommend a better place in the Kamakura area! Muy delicioso!
