Clean, basic and friendly. Stayed overnight here on my way to Door County. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was basic but comfy and at a great price! Would definitey stay here again! Across the street from Lake Michigan!

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms had balconies facing the lake. Chairs on the downstairs floor

This is a very comfortable motel to stay at. We have stayed every summer for 5 years/ 3 nights at the Scenic Shore Motel and won't stay anywhere else. The owner has become our friend and is very hospitable. Bob always takes good care of the guests. It is more of a small town feeling and wonderful atmosphere that is had at the motel. It is not right on the shore of the lake but is very close and next to anything that is needed. There is a Subway and Piggly Wiggly grocery on the north side and a Family Dollar to the South side all within a short walk. There is a wonderful picnic area under a large tree on the north side of the property with a gas grill for the guests to use. If you are a fishing person you have a nice sized parking area for your rig. You have free coffee after 7p.m. You have ice in crushed form or block form to keep that fish fresh. There is a standing freezer to hold your fish until your ready to leave. The rooms are nice with a flat screen, cable viewing, free Wi-Fi a small refrigerator which we like. We have stayed at other Motels in Algoma but you can't do any better than Scenic Shore. It's a good value all the way around...

Room Tip: We always take a second floor room. The view is a little better.

This a family owned motel. Old fashion with respect to décor, but very clean. The price is right. The location is great - right on the Hwy, across from Lake Michigan, grocery store and a variety store right next door. Each room has a little table and chairs on the balcony. Request the second floor to see the lake;however, there are no elevators. The room was comfortable, but the air conditioner was the old wall type. Ok, but noisy. It was a cool evening, so we could open windows, but a big picture window forced us to close the heavy drapes, which restricted the air flow. Although the highway wasn't that busy, highway noise was an issue, too.. I am not sure I would want to stay here on a warm night. I did like the peaceful town. The lighthouse is special. The walk along the boardwalk was very nice. We biked the Ahnapee River trail, which was a very pretty, well-kept trail.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Close to both Green Bay and even closer to Door County but a small town feel overlooking Lake Michigan. Wonderful owners, very accommodating in every way. Quiet place. Spotless!

Room Tip: Ask for 2nd floor. Beautiful view

When we first called the rooms were not available. We asked if they would call us if they had a cancelation. They did and they called as promised. This is our second time at the scenic shore inn. We were just as happy as the first time. We were traveling on a budget so having the market near was great.

Room Tip: The second floor has a better view of the lake

Great hotel for the price. The rooms are clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I know if we get back this way again we will stay here. I love that they have chairs and tables outside are rooms. I sat out there and enjoyed the early morning.

Since my first 3-night visit here in 2009, I have stayed here on seven more 3-night visits. Owners Laurie, Bob & Kristina are still as kind as ever, always making me, my wife & my dogs feel very welcome! They have done some nice upgrades in the past 3 years, mainly carpeting & shower curtains. As always, the rooms at Scenic Shore are impeccable.

One thing I never knew---they will never recommend a restaurant that they haven't tried themselves (ie., by word of mouth.) For those who want to visit Door County, it is so much cheaper to stay here, and just drive to Door County for daily visits (or nightly restaurants.) Scenic Shore is only about 7 miles south of the Door County line!

The motel features 100% smoke free rooms, has free parking right outside your door, and there is a nice view of Lake Michigan right across the street. The air up here (NE Wisconsin) is the freshest that you will ever breath. There are restaurants all over the many towns nearby, ranging from budget to upscale, and everything in between. A very nice Piggly Wiggly grocery store is next door, and there is another very nice supermarket one mile into Algoma called Denny's.

On many occasions, daughter & co-owner, Kristina, shares some of her home made cakes with patrons---a very nice touch. This is a small motel featuring 13 rooms, so reservations are a must during the busy summer months. Algoma is a fishing capital in Wisconsin, so the fisherman enjoy staying here too. Situated on very nicely kept grounds of about 4-5 acres, Kristina can frequently be seen, keeping the lawn neatly manicured with her John Deere tractor mower. Pet friendly, kid friendly, family friendly, senior friendly & Nuclear Plant worker friendly! Just plain down right "friendly".

So, the next time you're up this way, stay in the cleanest motel you'll ever come across---well appointed rooms---comfortable Queen beds---slide open the window & enjoy that Lake Michigan breeze. Eat at one of the many nice eateries in Algoma or Kewaunee (about 10 miles south.) And, save some money with their decent rates! Always a pleasure................

Room Tip: If you desire a better view of Lake Michigan, you may want to choose an upstairs room.
