The rooms are really nice decorated. The courtyard were one can dine or have breakfast in the morning is lovely. Also the restaurant is worth a visit. They grill the meat over a large fire where it gets this real grill taste.

We arrived in Shkodra in the early evening and headed straight to Rozafa Castle. After a memorable visit watching the sunset, we headed down to the city in the dark. After what appeared to be block after block of nondescript modern neighborhoods, this hotel emerged like an oasis.

Our first impressions of both the hotel and its staff were as good as I have had of any facility in the world, and they were not altered during the rest of our stay. This place, a converted large private house with a huge courtyard, is well-maintained and very attractively decorated. And every single staff person we interacted with was so friendly and eager to serve.

Luckily for us, we decided to have dinner at the adjoining restaurant as we were too tired to go out, What a beautiful dining room on two stories. And the multi-course gourmet dinner cost little more than 10 Euros per person.
The following morning, we had to leave very early on the Lake Komen ferry, and the staff were willing to serve full breakfast well before 7AM which is very unusual.

We stayed only one night, and we did not do any research on alternative lodging in town as our company booked this hotel for us. However, you know quality when you see it.
I have to chuckle at an earlier one-star review which said the restaurant was expensive. I seriously doubt he will find a better deal anywhere in his own country. Fortunately most reviewers seem to see that this place is special. A picture of the restaurant is included in a recent issue of the Outside magazine.

This is easily the best hotel we stayed in during our 10-day tour through Albania. Out stay here was one of the most memorable during our visit to 9 countries in the Balkans in March and May/June. It is up there with some of the best places we stayed in during our travels to over 70 countries. This is the kind of place that gives me hope about the future of tourism in Albania. It is that good. I hope the owners and the staff keep up the great work.

We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel was beautiful -full of charm and comfort. The restaurant served excellent Albanian food and was very well priced. The staff was incredibly helpful. When we returned from the Accursed mountains, the manager was kind enough to drive us to the bus so that we wouldn't miss it. couldn't recommend it more highly.

We planned ten days for our trip to Albania, thinking we would have more than enough time to visit the entire country and maybe even hop over to Greece. Little did we know the treats the owners of Tradita had it store for us. We arrived late one afternoon with no reservation and though the hotel seemed booked, Raymond (the beautiful woman in charge) found us a room and didn't even charge us full price!
From then on, we were completely taken care of, we mentioned we wanted to go to the beach and Raymond and her husband, Jonny drove us there and spent the day with us! We even had lambs' milk ice cream! Then they arranged for us to be driven to Thethi and spend the night at a charming guesthouse, only to return to Tradita and greeted like it was our own home!
Lastly, they organized a tour of Lake Komani for us and every step of the way were eager to help. I would come back to Albania just to see them again!
One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had, not even to mention the charming room, courtyard and waiters that helped us throughout our stay.
Will definitely miss Raymond and Jonny!

We only spent 3 days in Albania and with fairly low expectations were pleasantly suprised with the country and in particular our choice of Hotel Tradita .My wife who was a apprehensive about Albania felt totally safe here. The room was large and tastefully furnished in traditional style, in the middle of town with parking was a plus and minimal street noise. All staff and they had plenty were helpful and friendly. The real attraction turned out to be their amazing restaurant on premise which served traditional dishes with flair and at outstanding value in a great setting ... The head chef took pride in every dish he prepared, take our advice don't eat anywhere else in Shkoder, this is a gem of a restaurant !!

Room Tip: 1st floor room at the end was very good

My husband and and I stayed one night. The hotel is a very traditional design, and the courtyard beautiful. The room was very clean and large.

Breakfast was delicious with a good choice, plus good coffee. Staff very helpful. Location about 10 minutes to main tourist area.

The reviews were mixed but we decided to try this B & B for two nights while in the otherwise somewhat dreary town of Shkoder. Monda, the owner´s wife & manager switched us to a room that must have been the best one in the house for an additional cost of 20 Euros/day from the one I had reserved on the net.

We hads lots of space, good Wi Fi, a big comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The furnishings are traditional Albanian in very good taste.

We dined three times in their restaurant that must be the best in town. We even had some live music one evening, a non scheduled event.

Should your travels take you to Shkoder, be sure and choose Tradita Geg & Tosk & you wojn´t be sorry.

Don´t expect to have laundry done if it is rainy, as it was during our stay. They have no drier & we wound up packing semi dry clothes. A minor inconvenience

Room Tip: Ours was at the end of a hall on the first floor of the main building.
