“Location and Internet connection is about all”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

The Hotel has great location in the very downtown of Banja Luka, with the advantage of being withing walking distance to main attractions in Banja Luka. However, its location can also be a downside especially in summer as the rooms facing the main street can get very noisy.
It is very old hotel, which you can see and feel everywhere. Should you be looking for time machine experience it is ok. Some of the rooms have been renovated - I guess they are called A category rooms. I never stayed at the other ones and would not risk. Those renovated ones are decent and clean, with very basic facilities. Bathroom has fancy furniture, but every bath tube or shower leaks and I already had two floods.
The Internet connections works perfectly and I have never faced a problem with it.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is rather basic.
The hotel has parking, which is also one of the advantages.
I usually use it for business visits to Banja Luka and especially enjoy summer meetings as it has huge cafe at the garden in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: If you want view ask for the room facing the main street but then you endanger sleep quality as they...

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times, always on business, the last time at the end of January 2012. The location of the hotel is excellent - in the closest vicinity of the centre and the main street with shops and cafes. The hotel is big. Make sure you book an A-luxe room. I have stayed also in a B-luxe, but I would not like to repeat it, those rooms are basic or some of them even poorer than that. A-luxe rooms are more than acceptable. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom is modern with state-of-the-art shower-cabin with radio and light in, but take care when turning water on, so as not to have your hair washed as well, if you don't want to. You get a bath-robe and slippers. There is a pretty small wardrobe in the room, but no coat-hangers separately in the antechamber.
Breakfast is good, offers a vaariety of food.
There is a nice (a little bit old-fashioned) cafe in the hotel, I liked it very much. As far as I remember, there is also a hair-stylist and a couple of shops.
The hotel is recommendable. The largest downside is reception-staff. They are arrogant and annoyingly impolite.
The breakfast is

Hotel offer two kind of rooms - class A costs 85 € and class B which costs around 60€. I got a room class B on the fourth floor. I don't have major objections on the room, except a smell of tobacco which annoyed me quite, and it was too hot – heating regulator was broken and I couldn’t turn the heating off. The breakfast was OK. The hotel is located in the city center, very busy with a lot of guests; I think for that reason the stuff looks pretty uninterested when treating guests.

My 60Euro single room was comfortable enough and the location is pretty central. The major disappointment for me was the wifi. It was very weak in the room and not much better in the hallways. I told one of the receptionists who asked which room I was in and then shrugged his shoulders when I told him.

It's a big, soulless hotel and it's fine for a short visit if you don't need wifi. Personally I'll stick with the Talija, which is smaller and better all round.

This is a big hotel, but guest don't feel welcome. It is very loud: outside techno concerts, inside mariages with bands. People at the reception partly stupid and not very helpful - they don't care about their guests. That said, guests in the hotel are subsidiary for that enterprise as it seems they make more buiness with bars, mariages, conferences or shops.

Hotel Bosna, you can't get more central in Banja Luka, a city with few tourists. Once a socialist monolith, now renovated to a more modern standard. Still, it's Bosnia, and that means having to deal with small inconveniences. I was checked first into a smoking room; they didn't ask. This is common in Bosnia where most people smoke. It reeked. One complaint and I was instantly moved to a fresh room one floor up that was also slightly nicer. The staff speaks English and are professional, not always a given there, but because this is Bosnia, the receptionists were plagued by a crazy old women in sweatpants delivering commentary and maledictions at their every move. They looked like they could've killed her. She wasn't there the next day, so perhaps they did.
Understand that, because it's so central, there are always weddings and parties both inside and outside the hotel. The higher the room and the further away you are from the stairway, where the sound wafts up, the better off you are.
Breakfast is....Bosnian. If you don't like pork and sausages, well, there's cereal and muesli.
Free wifi everywhere in the hotel.

I, my husband and his cousin stayed in Bosna hotel for celebrating 2010. It was an amazing night! There are two big event halls we could choose from. The menu, live music, dancing till the dawn, we had so much fun!
The room was nice and clean. The stuff is very helpful and polite. The hotel absolutely fits 3* rating.
Happy New year to everyone! We will surely have one thanks to joyful evening in Bosna Hotel.
