“Cool calm waters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014 via mobile

As most beaches in Maceió, the reefs turn the sea into a giant salty pool. Barra de São Miguel is not as crowded as the neighboring beaches of Francês or Gunga, and the water is deliciously cooler. Prices on bars are more reasonable as well. There are people renting canoes, kayaks, and paddle swan-shaped boats. Praero restaurant is on the south end of the beach, and offers the best structure for the tourist. The only (serious) problem is that its toilets are those chemical ones we see in street marathons.

“a short stop for a picture”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

This is a stop on the way to Gunga. It is nice to look at the beach and take a picture, 10 minutes is enough.

“Semi-exclusive or beer and music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2013

There's a huge part of the beach that's still pretty much deserted - you can walk for an hour and you won't meet a soul!

And if you feel lonely, there's plenty of bars on the opposite direction !
