Big rooms are good. Air con is quiet. Liked the blackout curtains but away from the wall so light comes in at the side. Kitchenette is a good idea but only equipment provided was a cup and saucer with a glass and another saucer. Managed a reasonable cup of tea using the microwave. There's a big supermarket within 10 minutes walk. Bed was comfortable. WiFi was a bit flaky. Breakfast was very good. Croissants were pretty authentic if you gave them a good time to defrost. There was even a dedicated omelette making person.

Lovely big room, comfortable bed, walking distance to two good restaurants. Helpful staff. Terrible restaurant. Good mini market near by and a super cheap laundry to do a service wash with charming owners.

Room Tip: Had a rom on top floor with great views of city.

I stayed here for three nights in April 2014. The location is quite close to the centre (~20 mins walk) provided you have a good map (the map provided by the hotel is very spartan).
Walking in the direction of the centre (R. Joao Valerio) , you will find a small but very useful mini-supermarket on the left and a coffee shop on the right (I think the name is Francos). The coffee shop is a real treasure and a welcome late afternoon pit-stop for the weary footsoldier - you are not hurried and you can read a book or work to you hearts content.
The shopping mall (Manaura) is 10 min walk in the other direction and amongst other things, this is a good place to eat even in the evenings as it is open until 10 pm - there are not too many restaurants I could easily find and the restaurant in the apart-hotel is only ok in an emergency. The apartment itself is spacious and clean but a little sparse in terms of amenities (there is a kitchen but no kettle !). If this will be your first time in Brazil you may find the mains sockets very odd (three rounds pins in a staggered line) so a trip to the shopping mall for an adaptor would be in order.

Room Tip: This is on a busy and quite noisy road , so try and get an apartment as high up as possible.

My husband and I stayed in March. We only really stayed 2 nights as we went to the jungle but we kept our room for the other night we were away. The room was great - big and comfortable. I would have liked a thicker blanket on the bed as I got a bit cold in the night.

The shower seemed to imply their was hot water but there didn't seem to be any. We ate in the restaurant once and ordered room service one and both times the food was great. The breakfast was quite good too although the staff there were sometimes a bit grumpy. The reception staff were lovely and spoke excellent English.

Not too far from Manuara mall which is useful if you urgently need cash for tours like we did - there is no ATM in the hotel.

Our room was cleaned but the mini bar isn't replenished (in 4 days) which wouldn't bother us except in countries where you can't drink the tap water. Our towels weren't changed at all. Actually when we came back from the jungle, one towel had been removed but no new towels were given so we had to share one used towel as we were in a hurry.

Overall it was an ok stay.

I stayed in this hotel on either side of a jungle tour and the friendly hotel staff kindly kept my large bag while I was away. There was more space than I needed and the room was very comfortable. It was a five minute walk to the beautiful Manauara Shopping Mall for meals and shopping and changing money. The taxi into the city centre was about 25 reais.

Very nice hotel and location, close to restaurants and shopping. the Rooms are very spacious and have a separate living room area which makes it very comfortable, especially for long stay which was my case. The breakfast is very good and staff very kind. Try the tapioca at breakfast, it is a specially from the region, fruits were delicious as well. They have a nice fitness and pool on the top floor with great views of the city, perfect to relax after work. The front desk staff is very nice and accommodating. Would certainly go back!

Room Tip: all rooms are suites and the same, but maybe ask for high floor to have better views of the city

I stayed in this Hotel at the end of June 2013.

My room and the Hotel in general was always clean. I was there because of a really hectic work trip, but I felt like I could relax as soon as I got inside my room. Wifi worked perfectly in my room, Pool was great and good breakfast, although the cheese they sprinkled on the tapioquinha pancakes was not amazing.

The staff is the real asset of this place. They were all super kind and available. Made our life a lot easier. I would definitely come back.
