The accommodation is clean, neat and English friendly. It is not too fancy so it feels odd in the middle of the Amazon, you still feel part of the Ugle and there are certain elements that makes you feel comfortable enough to say 'I stayed in the Amazon'! The staff is really frendly and the food is amazing- specially the fish the serve!

I cannot understand why anybody would only give 3 stars because of the temperatures and humidity… I mean… If I go to the Amazon rainforest I know that it is going to be hot and humid.

The Lodge is really beautiful! It is situated just by the river so you have the possibility to swim in the river. There are several huts and the dorm (which is the cheaper option). The huts have their own bathrooms and you have more privacy than inside the dorm. I stayed at the dorm and it was completely fine! Every bed has mosquito nets so mosquitos will not bother you. There are shared bathrooms that are cleaned regularly.
The staff is really friendly! The Brazilian food they serve is very good and always enough, so you will not starve. Water is for free and you can buy beer or drinks at the bar. So, you will probably not miss anything.

I really enjoyed staying at Juma Lake Inn!

The lodge was ok overall, but dont expect you are in the Amazon with nobody around, it s not a remote place. I remember a night when i was in bed and I heard music beats from the house closeby. Dorm is ok but beds are worse than in all the hostels I have stayed in Brazil (i travelled for 3 months in Brazil), dirty and too soft, so you literally sink in.

AND I got lice there, probably from the beds.

towels I got from them were dirty.

Food is usually plenty and good, just once they didnt have bread and juice left for breakfast one day, so left me with crackers, eggs and bananas. Nobody apologised or explained anything about it!

Seems to be a family home but lacks of the personal touch - not much interaction with the family themseves.

they have dogs and they are cute.

I stayed there 4 nights.

We found this lodge really lovely, it is built on the water in tipical amazon style. We slept here one night during a 3 days trip around the rainforest organized by Iguana Tour, and actually we was very surprise to accomodate in a place so confortable even if we were in the middle of the jungle!
The lodge has both dormitory (with a big terrace where it's also possible to sleep on hammocks) and private rooms. We slept in a private room with ensuite, it was very big (with a queen size bed and 2 singles beds) and clean. Both dormitory and private rooms have mosquito nets at the windows.I can say that we had a really great experience

Now I've got back here asking myself if most of the people that left five stars review here have really been in a great jungle hotel? because I was totally disappointed.
The lodge people were nice, nothing to say about them at all... They try their best... but the rest? For sure I won't go back to the Amazon.
The hotel has a couple of monkeys running around, if you are not familiar with this kind of animal, do not go there. The temperature is always around 90F and high humidity, so it can become pretty uncomfortable since the entire hotel area is open and no AC.

Room Tip: The best place in the hotel is the open area where they have some hammock and you can take a nap.
