Hostelling International affiliated, we found Hostel Manause to be quite good.
The included breakfast was simple but not bad - fresh fruit, ham & cheese rolls and coffee. The rooftop dining area was lovely with great views over the city.
Short walk to the main street and the staff were helpful in telling us which bus to catch to get where we wanted to go.
The showers had only one temperature, but this wasn't an issue because the weather was hot, a cool shower was refreshing. Amenities were always clean.
The only negative was that we had booked for airport pick up as we arrived at 2am, but no one turned up and we had a taxi driver who had no idea where he was going. The staff member on when we arrived didn't seem to care that no one had picked us up.
