“Good for Glass of Wine”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

Tiny place right by the funicular in the old city has very limited menu. Grilled chicken with french fries reasonably priced and good but best wine sold by the glass, something hard to find in Brazil, especially white wine and it was reasonably priced.

“Cosy, charmingly eccentric decor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2012

Passed by many times without checking it out -- looks like an antiquities shop from the street. Quiet, European ambiance. One of the few places in Salvador where you can go sit down and read/or write and peacefully sip an espresso, as your mind processes the edgy, wild, joyful insanity of Bahia.

Food is good and a good value.

Wonderful view of the lower town, port and bay.

“Brilliant for evening view over the bay and a glass of fruit juice or Caiperinha.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2012

Often busy. The food is not cheap and there are more expensive places, but the view and ambience is great and the staff try their best - though thier kitchen is small and it is amazing they manage to move in there.

“Lovely place with style, great view, and an excellent caipirinha”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 January 2012

I discovered this place by coincidence, just walking in the area. It is very stylish, with old furniture, cats, old photos on the walls, something you do not see often in Salvador. If you take first row of tables – the view is beautiful especially at sunset. I went even twice, and had little pizza snack with beer, also excellent "caipirinha" other time. This is not a spectacular restaurant – but is nice, cosy place where you can sit, drink, enjoy the view and perhaps meet people and talk to them.
