With a group of friends we stayed there during the World Cup. I won't let the price we payed affect my review, as all prices were inflated during the WC.
The hotel is in a good safe location. Halfway between the old town and beachfront area. A taxi to either costs about $4 US.
The hotel itself is basic and I'd call it a 2 star. There are no frills and the rooms are fairly small but the beds were comfortable enough and the air con and shower worked which is the main thing.
Breakfast fairly basic but standard enough for this grade of hotel,
Overall I'm giving it 3 on the basis you might get it for a good price
