“Dream Stay”
Reviewed 14 March 2009

From the moment we were greeted by Aram Yami's wonderful staff & owners to the second we left, Aram Yami's family were nothing but exceptional & super friendly.
This renovated boutique hotel was the perfect ending to our trip in Brazil. Few minutes away from the center of Santo Antoni's bars, restaurants, & shops, this place had everything we needed & more to make our stay perfect.

Juan and Lola (the owners of the hotel) are the best hosts. They are so genuine, friendly, & experts at giving tips to make your stay the best.

We spent 4 nights at the Bahia Suite with a large bedroom and an amazing view of the ocean. The room was very airy, nicely laid, & extremly comfortable, the ambiance & tideness excellent, it opened on a shared infinity pool(see picture) with an outdoor shower. The breakfast is very tasty and fresh. Don't forget to ask Marcello (extremly nice reception guys) to prepare one of his signature Caprinnas for you- it was like no other we tasted around Brazil!

The hotel decoration is refined, arty, with very close attention to details. The interior is tasteful to the core, everything there was is very inviting & super attractive. The toilet by the reception area was a bit of an interesting surprise... but I won't ruin the experience for you guys : )

This is one of the nicest hotel we had a chance to stay in... if not the nicest. Thank you so much Aram Yami's team for making our stay truely unforgetable. Thev peace and quiet and the atmosphere are really worth it. I would really give it six stars when it comes to service, accomodation, & location.

We just came back from Bahia, where we spent three days at Hotel Aram Yami. With only five rooms, this hotel is amazing, with great attention to detai and incredible service. The view from the terraces is spectacular and breakfast was a very nice opportunity to sample typical Bahian dishes cooked right there by a very nice lady and enjoy a great variety of tropical fruits. And don't miss their afternoon capirinhas by the balcony! But above all, the warmth of the owners, Lola and Juan, is what made our stay unforgettable. Thank you!!!!

We have spent a very good journey at Aram Yami. All was pefect, from our arrival to our departure!
Juan and Lola (the owners of the hotel) were the best guides in Salvador.
We spent 4 nights at the Bahia Suite with a large bedroom and an amazing view upon the sea (see picture). The breakfast is very tasty and you have many things to eat and to test brazilian food (ask a cuskuz).
The hotel decoration is refined and every object brings its harmonious key. Moreover, the hotel has the chance to be based in Santo Antonio area (historic center), so you can go by walk, in 5 minutes, directly to the restaurants and bars (ask the staff to give its best addresses).
You have the guarantee to have an unforgettable experience in Salvador city.

The Hotel Aramyami is without the slightest doubt one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in , and since I work for the UN I have really travelled all over the world. I discovered it by chance googling on Internet, as it only opened in July last year . The owners, a charming couple of architects from Barcelona Spain/San Paolo Brasil, go out of their way to cater to your every need and whim. Wi fi, massages, Caetano Veloso music...the works. It is the only boutique hotel in the neighborhood of Santo Antonio, one of the most authentic historical areas of Salvador located next to Pelourinho butnot full of tourists and peddlers as the "Pelo". Situated in a renovated mansion it has five gigantic suites, very tastefully decorated (mixture of Zen design and Bahian antiques). One of them even has a private pool that looks out to the bay. Another pool is shared by the other four rooms. We stayed in the top floor suite where we woke up in the morning to the sea to one side, the rooftops of Bahia to the other. Parts of the room have a glass roof and you can see the sky and the stars from the bed and from the shower. Breakfast is scrumptious - passion fruit mousse is addictive. It is not cheap by Brasilian standards (we were there in high season, over Xmas) but the place, the peace and quiet and the atmosphere are really worth it. I would really give it six stars.
No dinner, but 24 hour room service for drinks and snacks.
Extreeemely romantic ¡¡¡¡

  • Liked — the luxurious setting, and exclusiveness of the place. the views, the sea, the sky...
  • Disliked — it was very hard to drag ourselves out of the hotel and see Bahia¡¡¡
