Do you know how it feels when you get to find an hotel (actually...more than that... aboutique resort) where you can't really think about anything you'd like to be different ?
Well, this is the place.
And we have some experience...we own a maison d'hote on Portofino hills, where the clientele is very exigent and doen't allow you to make mistakes...
Well ..trust us...
if you want a stylish yet warm place , a fantastic breakfast and very well prepared lunch and dinners, an almost privat pool overlooking the surf ( and the surfers ) of Jeri...you got it !
And very romantic too!
We'll definitely be back soon !

Jericoacoara is absolutely fantastic!!!! Would highly recommend Jeri and worth the visit!!!!
Great for windsurfing, kate surfing (you can take lessons for both), take the 2 different day trips 1) fresh water lagoons (restaurants on tour offer fresh good food and reasonable prices...it is not a ripp off but surprisingly good and good value) and 2) to the Sand dunes (they will ask you if you want to go on an extra excursion on this trip to see the Water horses - not worth it. The boat driver picks one up in the water and the hands it to you in a bucket and then he passes it on to the next boat driver and the next.). One can easily spend a week doing two days of excursion and relaxing or wind/kite surfing. If you take lessons keep in mind most lessons last 2- 3 days and can be costly.

Chilli Beach Boutique Hotel- Great location, Great Design, Secluded, Total Relaxation but we felt they were missing something...soul of the hotel and service!

We were so looking forward to coming to Jeri and Chili Beach and even changed our entire schedule for our trip to Brazil so we could stay at Chilli Beach! I had emailed back and forth with the hotel before the trip and go to know them via the internet and had a good impression.

However, from the moment we arrived at the hotel we did not get this genuine, warm friendly welcome which I was expecting from "a 5 star boutique hotel". Not a real problem we thought but as our stay evolved we got the impression that not everything had been thought through all the way.

The REAL PROBLEM for us was the lack of soul (passion) of the hotel, ie...the warm welcome, the attention to small details, service levels (you must get up and tell the staff what you want) and the language barrier with the staff. Not something you expect from a 5 star Boutique hotel and when you pay 380USD per night. We felt Chilii Beach was over priced for what you got and we were not made to feel special as you would expect from a hotel like this!

The staff at the pool, restaurant and bar do not speak anything except the local language! Don't expect the staff to come to you and ask you if you want something to drink as you lay in the sun by the pool in 34 degree heat or if you want something to eat. You must get up and tell them. On 2 occasions I had to remind the girl at the bar if I could have a Sprite 2-3 times even with one of the English speak managers sitting there.

Small details:
WINDOWS- in bungalows - if you are not a fan of AC like us and want to open your windows to cool down the room it took 3 telephone calls to the reception to get someone to bring a stick to keep open the window to allow the breeze to flow through the room.

TV - very complicated! 2 remotes no reference guide how to use them and only manager could explain personally

Airport Transfer - punctual, perfectly adequate but for 300 USD each way you expect maybe to have the car cleaned inside at least. Outside understand it may be a little dirty due to location in Jeri. Driver did not speak any English. Would be nice for the price you pay to have at least a bottle of water in the truck when you arrive and maybe a piece of paper or some information telling you how long the drive is to Jeri, info on Jeri or the hotel and maybe a map since the driver does not speak English instead of sitting wondering for 4 hours.

Coffee - Be warned on the breakfast buffet there is a Nespresso coffee machine for those who like more European coffee. They don't tell you or write anywhere but you must pay for this coffee. Again not what you expect from 5 star boutique hotel.

Chilli could be a real GEM!! I hope for them and Jeri that they get the right formula in place soon.

This place is unreal. We stayed for our Honeymoon in May 2010 and didn't know what to expect! The Chili Beach is amazing, the food is fresh and lovely and the service is unbelievable yet still quite relaxed (no robot type staff although the language barrier was difficult but didn't make our experience any less enjoyable). Jeri is an amazing place and after the 5 hour transfer from Forteleza, it was definitely worth it. There's so much to do in such a small place and we'd both love to go back there.

We spent only one night here (rooms are 400 to 500 bucks) but what a stay. This is the only true boutique hotel in Jeri. Another level of paradise altogether. if you want to enjoy the boho/feet-in-the-sand spirit of Jeri but sleep in style, Chili Beach is the place for you. Service and welcome are absolutely top notch. The sunset from the infinitiy pool an absolute must. If you can't afford the rent, drinks are a no-brainer for sunset (around 5:30 PM), and dinner was good and reasonably priced.
Enjoy!

PS: the rooms in the front can be a bit noisy (there is lounge music until midnight and breakfast is right outside your door). the bungalows in the back and beautifully remote.

The very least I can say...PERFECT in every way. The best in Jeri... one of the best intimate beach hotels ever. Very good installations and an excellent "crew". Congratulations and...thanks for a wonderful week-end. See you soon.

If you really want to have the experience in Jeri of being in a private place (only 6 rooms when I stayed and I occupied 2 -Bougainvilliers and Hibiscus)
You will have your own staff (excellent cook for Brazil, very strong security,...) and will be able to decide if you want to be in a very deco style for the day or go out for the kite surf.
Really a recommendation for the people who can afford it. I was due to go to the mosquito but fortunately went there as there is no comparaison at all.
Only worry is that Jeri is not as secluded and true as it was - check out Guajiru (rede beach) and Itacarai de amondo (next jeri)

I stayed with my family for 5 days in Chilli beach. It was absolutely amazing. Everything you would want from a hotel.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. They helped us a lot in organizing activities. We went horse back riding, quad biking, drove with a buggy, did Capoera ... You will never be bored there.
The food was also delicious. If we requested something in the morning for dinner, they had it ready for us by the evening.
