I like this restaurant for it's good sushi that is priced right. It's a simple restaurant. They showcase the sushi buffet, which is very good. I like getting the sushi buffet to go package for when I'm craving sushi but have errands to do. It's also great for delivery if you are at work and want a great sushi lunch!

My son and I ate here yesterday. We probably will not be back. The sushi is fair. I've certainly had better. In defense, you get what you pay for I suppose. The 'hot items' i.e. General Tso's chicken, potstickers, etc. were not very appetizing. Although, the portly couple who hogged up every bit of the two bowls of steamed crab legs that came out didn't seem to mind. My main issue was with cleanliness. We were seated back by the drink station and it was FILTHY behind that counter. Like gross dirty. Made me afraid to think what the kitchen must look like if they'll allow areas that can be seen by the customers to look like that.

This friendly family owned establishment has been in operation for over 3 years. The Sushi buffet is affordable, and a good choice for: first timers, someone needing a quick fix, and families wanting their children to experience something besides "burgers & fries".

Their are over 20 different roll combinations on the buffet, and the Sushi Chef (owner/wife) is frequently trying new combinations to keep her customers coming back. She is very receptive to criticism and strives to please. (Try someplace like "Jet Sushi" on the East side of town, and you will soon realize how varied Fuji Sushi's ingredients are.)

Being a small operation trying to stay afloat, sometimes certain items (though offered) are limited due to cost (like White Tuna), and "suggest" you only take a certain amount of pieces. Understandable. They want you to enjoy that item, just not glutton on it.

The Sushi buffet is rarely empty. Only once in 3 years had I entered to dine to find the buffet picked clean by the previous rush of customers. They were clearly aware of the situation and were frantically rolling trying to restock before the next wave. I opted to leave, and I came back a half an hour later and it was business as usual.

They do offer a few side dishes of standard Chinese fare. Given that this restaurant's main focus is Sushi, it can be hit/miss as to the freshness of those items.

Being family owned, and with the fact that both Husband/Wife work sun up to sun down, 6 out of 7 days a week, you will find their 2 children there most of the time. They are not a bother. They usually occupy the booth nearest the cash register, or nearest the TV. Every once in awhile you will find youth programming on the TV. Expected. Hopefully you didn't go there to watch TV.

All in all,
Is this the "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" of Appleton? Definitely not.
This is an affordable, relaxed place you go with family and friends to support a local business. It's always clean, friendly, and accommodating. If you take a moment and talk to the owners, you will soon realize just how hard they work for you.

They really do have a great following and are very grateful for the repeat business. They are very generous and it is not uncommon for them present you with "special" rolls prepared just for you.

I had never been to a sushi buffet so didn't know what to expect. They had an ok selection but I was hoping for more than the basic rolls. They will give you two pieces of tuna sashimi or nigiri. They also have some chinese dishes but wasn't impressed.

I have ate a Fuji several times, and each time I leave with the same question: "why did I eat here again?"

The appeal of all you can eat sushi for a little over $10is hard to resist, but try. The sushi is not good. It is comparable to gas station sushi. Every roll is practically identical, am there is a good chance that it has been sitting out for quite some time.

To top it off, the restaurant doubles as a daycare facility for the employees kids. Expect nickelodeon to be on the TV and several kids running around playing games.

Spend the extra $5-10 and get some real sushi.
