The hill top Convent is a steep and long walk from the base. Adequate parking is provided, there are numerous services throughout the day. Wonderful views of Vitoria.

Penha Convent (Portuguese: Convento da Penha) is a convent in Vila Velha, Brazil, on the top of a high mountain overlooking the cities of Vitória and Vila Velha. Founded in approximately 1558 by Pedro Palácios, today it is home to Espírito Santo's Patron Saint, Our Mother of Penha.
One gets some really fantastic views of the cities ...

It´s cheap to go there from vitória city by taxi or uber, we can also catch a bus to Vila Velha bus terminal which is not far away from the entrance. At the entrance there are vans to take us uphill ( R$4,00 round trip ) or for those who like walking just go on foot. No entrance fees and we can walk inside the church and take pictures all around the place. We can see all Vitória bay and the city of Vila Velha.
