We went there last night a little bit late. Most customers were leaving. It was our 2nd time to taste their BBQ and first time in the shop ourselves. We took out the pulled pork 3 weeks ago and decided to visit it. It took us about 40-50 minute driving one way from Madison, but it was well worth it! My son and I both ordered "Once Around A Pig" sandwich, including chips, cole slaw, and pulled pork-ham-bacon sandwich. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. They were all big sandwiches and we had leftover eventually. The cole slaw was home made, vinegar based and delicious. The homemade beer bread was yummy. But the pulled pork was simply divine. It was dry rub, not the saucy type. The homemade BBQ sauces (sugar vinegar, ghost pepper, and mild) were light and made the pork shine. Anyway, this is one of our favorite dinning places now. The American Player Theater and Taliesin are nearby. Many good camping sites are along the Wisconsin River. Neighborhood towns are mostly artsy communities. Now, with this joint and a pretty good drive-in hamburger place in the next town (Spring Green), a delicious summer camping vacation is all ready.
