“Nothing special, but well placed.”

The hotel itself is forgetable. On the plus side, the larger rooms are large and airy; however, there are also a lot of smaller rooms which are pokey and cramped. The tiled floor means anyone coming in with a wheeled bag at odd hours will wake you up with what sounds like a machine-gun, and there can be some seriously late-night revelers during the summer.

The hotel restaurant is not too great, and the room service menu is diabolical, but that isn't a big problem as there are good restaurants right outside... Minuano churascaria is almost next door. Beer is reasonably priced, wine is horribly expensive, and the mini-bars are overpriced for what they are. Front of House staff are generally pleasant. However, DON'T be tempted to spend Christmas here... no-one turned up to work, all the local restaurants closed, and I had nothing but chocolate out of the minibar from 24th midday until about mid-morning on 25th. And no one was in the slightest bit apologietic either!

What is good about this hotel is the location... it is right by a decent beach, which has great sunbathing and exercise usage (although the locals tend not to swim there, as it is in the bay with the Tubarao bulk terminal and factories) The hotel is also very close to The Triangle area of night-life which has some very good churasarias and a very good moquequa restaurant. The area is also, by Brazilian standards, very safe. There are bus and taxi connections to other parts of town, and the airport is very close.

For business I have found this hotel to be adequate; I would be somewhat unhappy, however, to pay the rates they ask and then arrive for a holiday. However, if you can get a deal on the price, it certainly isn't the worst hotel around Praia do Camburi.

Room Tip: Ask for the big rooms, and normal beds... they have a few hard orthopaedic beds which are popular in...

I didn't dislike this hotel, but there were some really annoying points I would like to share. But first of all, the good points.

Pros:
-In front of the beach
-Clean
-Big rooms

Cons:
-Parking lot entrance way too far from lobby (and no driver to take it there: after checking in, I had to drive some blocks and then return to the backstreet entrance.
-It's difficult to maneuver in the parking lot, due to the pillars and narrow spaces (I know this is usual, but it's worse at this hotel).
-Bad value (way to expensive for what it offers)
