“I highly recommend this hotel”

Back to Brasilia again but it would be my very first time at this hotel. As I had a very good experience with this hotel chain in Paris, I imagined they could keep the same standard of services. I really had forgot it was an apartment and not a regular room. Very well decorated living room, reasonably equipped kitchen and a very comfortable room. Very nice queen size bed. High quality amenities and towels. It has a simple business center or you can use your laptop in your room, just buy an access card for 24 hours which is cheaper than fractions of time. Very good breakfast and frontdesk service. One day we had worked so hard that my meeting had finished earlier than we imagined. It was good to return to the hotel in the afternoon to enjoy the top floor swimming pool and the sunset. Restaurant are not very close but we can consider a 4 block walking to the mall or the restaurant area. A cab ride would cost not more than US$10.00 to the main buildings of Brasilia or the restaurant area. I wish to come back there and enjoy the good services they offer.

We had an apartment on the 14th floor and enjoyed a nice view on central Brasilia. The aprtment had a separate bedroom and a living room with a sofa which could be transformed into another bed.

Central location next to the TV tower, Mc Donald's is next door. In the lobby there is a tiny little convenience store with some basic products. Breakfast was excellent, for RS 14.

I think the Mercure Lider Apartments are an excellent choice in Brasilia.

There seem to be very few 'brand' hotels in Brasilia, so I chose the Mercure Apartments Brasilia Lider as being centrally located and very good value. It is located next to the tv tower and close to a shopping mall. It seemed to be a busy hotel particularly during breakfast and morning period - the three small lifts could not cope with the numbers of visitors going up and down this tower.

The room had a separate bedroom from a sitting area and kitchenette with microwave, crockery etc. There was a separate bath/wc, althought the washbasin was within the main room area. Somewhat basic but comfortable and with effective air conditioning. There was a restaurant on the ground floor, although the breakfast that I had was only of medium quality. There is a McDonalds drive-thru immediately next door.

I was visiting Brasilia to see the architecture and was disappointed at the very limited tourist infrastructure. I had difficulty arranging much in advance, but the hotel was invaluable in getting me onto a city tour with www.delphosturismo.com.br , which was exactly what I had wanted.

Overall, the Mercure offered basic but comfortable accommodation.

Great place to stay in Brasilia. Good price/ value, even better if you book directly at their website, specially if you're staying there for the weekend.

The rooms are clean, the airconditioner works perfectly (needed in Brasilia), there is a small kitchen, a living room and a nice view from the balcony.

The staff is a little slow, so be patient!

Breakfast is not included, but it's worth paying 14 reais!

There is a shopping mall nearby.

  • Liked — The room. You can really rest after a full day.
  • Disliked — the service on the front desk

Great place to stay when visiting Brasilia.

If you are a person who enjoys art and architecture, Brasilia is a must. And if you are going there, try to drop in on a weekend as the hotel has a good weekend package price, having paid less than R$193 (tax included) for a nice room with living room and kitchenette for 2 nights.

The rooms are big, providing a good level of comfort. There is a pool but did not get to use it. Location is also very good as it is next to the TV tower where there is a market happening on weekends. It is also near to some shopping malls. Another plus point is that there is a Macdonald next door which help to provide alternative food choices to the hotel's.
