We stayed here for a couple of days with the family. The hotel is little bit out of the touristic center, which gives it a more nature feeling. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The many hammocks give you plenty of space to relax. The kids enjoyed the pooltable ! There is a nice restaurant/bar at the swimming pool.
All in all a nice place to relax of the busy activities in Bonito.

When you enter the hotel, you are welcomed at a lovely reception area, staffed regularly with English speaking employees. The rooms themselves were fine, though the showers have electric water heaters and the one in our room tripped the circuit every time. The bathrooms in general are rather old. But, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was nice, the bar made really good caipirinhas, and the restaurant was very good.

We booked all of our "passeios" through the on-site travel agency, and were pleased with all. One minor exception was that they did not mention the state of the roads when giving us directions, and therefore did not suggest a detour on one occasion where the roads were particularly bad. We got stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out by some kind passing strangers. Not the end of the world, but very messy.

One other minor hitch -- we were there in the low season, and so the jacuzzi was not on. When we asked to use it, we discovered that they do not keep it heated in the low season. After an hour of hanging out in tepid jacuzzi water, we gave up. Probably would have been fine if we had given some notice that we wanted to use the jacuzzi.

All in all, a good stay and a good value.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor in one of the chalets, which was nice.

This is a beautiful place ,the rooms are clean ,the grass, pool and the ambience is very relaxing ,they have a place with hammocks and you can have the indoor pool at night. We met the owner and his wife, such a nice person ,he was staying there and because I'm from Paraguay and they have Paraguayan food ,he was asking me if the food was similar ,they have chipa( like cheese bread) and Paraguayan soup ( is not soup ,is like a quiche),don't worry they have all kinds of food and is very good!! .Also I have to say I'been in many hotels ,this is the first time I see that they offer free "merienda " which is between 6 to 7 whit coffee and cookies and bread ,so convenient !! Especially after the pool ,you grab a coffee and then take a shower and go for dinner after !!i think the price is good for what you get ,the people working in the hotel are very nice, and they offer the tours and tell you how to it,also is not too far from the main places for shooping ,only thing is you need a good car cuz the road is not so good .We were in love with bonito !!! Amazing beautiful place ,if you love nature this is your place to be !!!

You can read all of the reviews in the world and look at the pictures but there is one thing you can't discover until you arrive...the ambience! This place has the kind of happy, welcoming vibe that we just love.
We arrived after a 3 hour drive in our hire car from campo grande airport and weregreeting by the amazing Alda in the booking agency. We had issues with our car which had to be replaced and also with our waterproof camera which leaked and Alda was such an amazing help in sorting out both of these things for us, thank you Alda we would have been lost without your help!!! :-). The room was upstairs and a really nice size with a dining area and private balcony. The breakfast was lovely and the afternoon tea a really nice touch. The hammock relaxation area was wonderful and we even saw a toucan!! I also had a lovely massage which was very reasonably priced. The tour organized by Alda in advance to Rio Da Prata was wonderful too!! We really enjoyed the town of bonito, be sure to try casa de Jorge restaurant and have a drink at taboa bar too. It is about a 10 min walk to the town but we felt safe even at night.
All in all a great place to stay with very lovely staff:-)

I stayed here for a week and it was very nice. The people working at the reception are very friendly and are always helping you when you have a question. The people at the restaurant are very friendly. There is also an office at the hotel/pousada where you can ask for trips and excursions. They are not only very friendly, but also really checking which excursions are really interesting for you. So, they are really checking it from the customers point of view, which is very good. It was also the first hotel in Brazil that I have been where they have not only one, but even a few people that can speak (very good) English. I recommend this hotel to all my friends, family and anyone that wants to stay in Bonito.

The only improvement I can come up with is Bonito related and not directly related to this hotel. The point I want to mention is the problem of dogs on the street that are barking till 1:00 in the night. But as already mentioned, this is a Bonito problem and not a problem the hotel can do something about. So, no matter which hotel in Bonito you take. Please take earplugs with you if you can't sleep when dogs are barking.

The hotel is off a dirt road approximately 10 blocks from "downtown" Bonito. We had a driver contracted to take us places, but had this not been the case a taxi only at night might be a good idea, though the locals assured us that Bonito is very safe. The hotel and grounds are very pretty and well cared for. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My 8 year old daughter asked (on her own initiative) the staff at the restaurant to prepare a cake for my friend who was having her birthday. They made a *delicious* homemade cake, decoration and all, and came out singing to surprise my friend. It was lovely. Regarding the rooms, they are spacious, the beds are comfortable (firm but not too firm). The air conditioning works well and was not too noisy. The TV didn't have cable channels, but I'm not much of a TV person so I didn't even care AND even if you are a TV person you will tire yourself with the many amazing excursions Bonito has to offer so there's not much time to worry about CNN or HBO. The bathrooms are relatively small. The shower doesn't have a lot of water pressure nor does it get very hot, but this is pretty common outside the big cities in Brazil. For foreign (non-Brazilian tourists) toilet paper (used) should be thrown in waste bins as the pressure will not flush it down. (Also common here, just a little note in case this is something new.) There is an outdoor and indoor pool, small gym and restaurant on property. The restaurant had lovely breakfasts, served 6:00-10:00 for people who have early departures for the more distant excursions. Dinners were OK, the meals always came up with a several minute wait between each dish ordered; they were not served at the same time to each person seated at the table. There is a central "kiosk" with hammocks to rest in the shade or read. There is a travel agency onsite that can help suggest and book excursions BUT I HIGHLY SUGGEST PLANNING AND BOOKING IN ADVANCE (DO YOUR RESEARCH TO DETERMINE THE BEST TRIPS FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY) BECAUSE SLOTS FILL UP FAST AND IT MAY BE TOO LATE TO SCHEDULE CERTAIN DAY TRIPS AT THE LAST MINUTE DURING THE HIGH SEASON. I speak Portuguese, but I noticed that some of the staff had difficulty helping some English only speaking travelers, this is probably still the norm in Bonito. It should not deter you from coming to this amazing destination BUT another RECOMMENDATION: MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND DEPARTURE-RETURN TIMES FOR EACH OF YOUR EXCURSIONS, WHAT TYPE OF CLOTHING-BATHING SUITS-SHOES TO BRING, ETC. Each excursion has peculiarities that are important to understand, sometimes tennis shoes are a must (Gruta do Lago Azul), sometimes sun protection is a "no-no" (nascentes - flutuação - Rio Sucuri and Aquário Natural), sometimes you have lockers to leave a backpack, sometimes you don't, etc. Going back to the hotel there is wifi that works around the pool and restaurant (but basically doesn't work in the rooms). Overall we were very comfortable in this hotel and I would definitely go back.

Dear guest,
Thank you very much for reviewing us, we appreciate it.
Our road has been paved, we no longer have a dirt road in front of the hotel. We have a few cable networks now, a nice upgrade we've given to our guests a few weeks after you stayed here. Thank you for your thoughts and we certainly would like to see you here again!

Everything in Aguas de Bonito is outstanding. The apartment is very confortable and food is delicious. The little minus is their crew not able to speak english but they are so friendly that kind of compensate the limit communication skills. I strongly recommend it!

Dear guest,

We appreciate your review, it is very important for us to know that everything was great during your stay with us. About our staff, we have been sponsoring them to study English by paying all costs, but we are aware that takes over a year to have the minimum communication skills. We are sure they will get there.
Thank you very much!
