A very well presented museum, though the subject matter is a tad niche. But, if you're remotely interested, worth the visit.

This is super well organized museum. Do not miss it! Friendly crew and beautiful collection. The oratory made of shells was surprise.

This is a very unique museum. There are three floors of portable altars that range in size from one inch to life size. They are organized by theme and usage. Most of the articles come from Minas Gerais but there are some from Rio de Janeiro and Bahia too. Very interesting are the afro-Brazilian altars. There is a charge to enter, but it is not much, and definitely worth seeing if you are interested in religious art.

This museum is located just outside the N.Sra do Carmo church, and is extremely interesting and well assembled.

Amazing collection. Colors, shapes and materials blew my mind. People who created that beauty were real artists. Definitely worth seeing. We had to run as we were short of time, but one can spend couple of hours observing the details!
