I ate here today for lunch - it's a well-recommended restaurant for good reason. The setting is fantastic, and the food is very good. Saturday is the only day they open for lunch from what I understand, and there is a buffet with a selection of salads, regional dishes and deserts to chose from, for an all-inclusive price (drinks are extra, of course). Arrive early to avoid lengthy queues for a table. The Amazonian Beers are particularly interesting and unique.
The food as expected is predominantly fresh-water fish, with some meat dishes. There is something for everyone. The service was fairly efficient, although I did feel the waiting staff are perhaps not keen on the Saturday buffet, in comparison to the a la carte service of the evenings - their faces appeared strained and there was not a smile in the house.
Overall it was impressive and good value for money, but not the culinary highlight of my visit to Belem by any means. This should not be confused with the evening service and a la carte option, which I imagine would be very different.
