Honestly..it didn't look like much from driving past... but we were picking up our daughter from Northland College and just needed the room for a night's sleep before heading back to Chicago. Room was small - but had everything we needed! I was worried from the 1950's knotty pine description that it would be a dark hole..but it was actually quite bright - the rooms are behind the office / owners residence in a narrow building running from the street to the water - so this was actually the first motel I've been in with windows on both sides of the room - plus a frosted window in the SPOTLESS bathroom! I've been in big "chains" that had mold around the shower edges - this was very clean with fluffy towels! We had two double beds, small refrigerator & microwave, TV and wireless internet. Unfortunately it stormed so we didn't get to walk around the grounds... Very clean, quiet & reasonably priced - I would definitely stay there again!!!
