Probably the nicest B&B we stayed at. The people are lovely, the breakfast is amazing and the rooms are very clean and spacious. Strongly recommend the Romantic Suite, as we really appreciated the extra room, ensuite and balcony. The recommended driver, Roberto is fantastic, he is very good value, reliable and most of all honest. We left our camera in the back of his car and it was returned to us as soon as he realized. The one thing we can not recommend is the BBQ restaurant, Buffalo Grill, it is very touristy and overpriced and the food quality is questionable. However there did not seem to be any decent restaurants, we recommend eating at the shopping center food court down the road and drinking a bottle of wine on the balcony while watching the sunset.

Room Tip: Romantic Suite

The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment of Brazilian breakfast foods, coffee and fresh made fruit juices. Maria made sure our needs were met. She arranged for transportation to Iguassu Falls and provided help with the paperwork needed to get through customs when we went to the Argentina side of the Falls.

Some reviews mention that the location is not the best. I wonder where they stayed because Marica B&B has a fantastic location. Yes, it is not downtown, but have you seen downtown Foz do Igucu? Downtown is a dump. If you really want to go downtown, spend a few pennies (Reals) and take the 3 minute ride on the bus. Marica B&B is on a wonderful, quiet street only three blocks from a nice clean mall with a supermarket. To walk to the mall, there is a sidewalk next to a very wide jogging track with exercise machines and play areas along the way. Plus, it is extremely well lit up at night. The mall has many restaurants at which to eat. The mall is open very late at night, and the walk back to Marica B&B is safe at anytime. Now, for the best part! The beautiful lady who runs Marica B&B is the epitome of why you want to stay bed and breakfast hotels. Besides keeping an immaculate hotel, she is fantastic telling you the best things to see and do. Plus, she is super at arranging trips and excursions. Ask her to set you up with Roberto as your driver! He is fantastic!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Romantic" room. It was wonderful!

Marica B&B was quaint, the owner was very nice and offered us a breakfast spread and to store our luggage. The location is in a highly residential neighborhood and the bus to Iguacu (which is why I am assuming you are staying here) was ~1 hr+. There are not good dining options close to the B&B so we had to look for a taxi to find a restaurant. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were large, the decor is a bit old fashioned. Overall, this place served its purpose but I am weary to recommend it to my friends. That said, I remember it was hard to find a suitable place to stay in Foz do Iguacu

Spent 2 nights in Maricas, very nice, tidy. Breakfast was excellent, with lots provided. Maria is lovely, and will organise restaurants and taxis as required. Really nice and quiet location, good for chilling out by the pool after visiting the falls. A little walking required to get to the mall, and a bit further to town proper as other reviewers have noted, but thats the price for staying in a lovely suburban home. Highly recommended (and free wifi). And yes, the brasil side of the falls is good, but... argentinian is better :-)

If you're needing a clean, safe, pleasant place to stay while in Foz do Iguacu, Marica B&B is a great place. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. Maria offers help arranging transportation to the falls, the dam, or anywhere else tourists want to go. There is a nearby mall that offers shopping and various fast food restaurants. Maria is very friendly and eager to help make her guests' experience a good one.

Tucked away in a beautiful residential section of the city but just a walk from the shopping center, you couldn't find a better place to stay than Marica B&B. We were in the larger room with the private bath and four of our friends stayed in two of the other rooms with a shared bathhroom. Maria was there for us whenever we had a question. We needed a van to take all of us to the Argentinian side of the falls. No problem! Maria arranged for one to meet us at the door. Rides to and from the airport..efficiently taken care of. Breakfast consisted of juices, small rolls, ham, cheese, pastries all delicious. One heads up, this part of Brazil had the 220V round plug ins. Of course, Maria had an adapter plug. Where else could you stay for a reasonable price and even get a goodbye Brazilian kiss on the cheek? Thanks Maria...miss you already.

Room Tip: Only 1 of the rooms has a private bath.
