Positive: Front desk staff were extremely helpful all the time. Public transportation stop located 50 meters from the hotel. The bus (401) rides from the City Center to the Cataratas (Falls) with stops by the Convention Center and Airport.
Room - let's call it minimalist in every aspect. The shower did not have a curtain or a glass door in my room, but I talked to other guests and their room was ok. Each time I took a shower I would flood the entire bathroom. Very annoying.
Breakfast - very frugal for Brazil standards. For example, there was never freshly baked bread, only sliced bread that one can buy from the supermarket or food store.
Location - right half way between the city and the airport/convention center, or a 20 real cab ride.
Check-out – I thought I was on Candid Camera or in a movie scene from Mr. Bean. I was the only customer at the desk (4:30am). The staff member did not know how to check me out in the computer system, so he had to call someone to guide him step by step. The problem was that this gentleman got confused with the instructions, so it took him 35 minutes to check me out and I had a plane to catch. Once he was able to print my bill, I noticed that I had been charged for an Internet card that I had paid in cash when I purchased it., etc, etc etc. Then, the gentleman working as front desk only staff member was unable to call a cab. I rushed outside to the main road and waved to every single car, as I was unable to distinguish between cabs and other cars due to still being dark. An interesting experience.
