very commercial hote, with overpriced services (internet, massages,...). The location is the worst part, hence the service, not of good quality, are not enough (mediocre restaurant and breakfast). Would look for something better, especially for the food. The room itself is not bad, the personnel a bit rude in my view.

The hotel is good, although not great --not what I'd expect for a 4-star hotel. The building has a seventies look, but everything is well maintained and clean. The rooms are large and comfortable, although the TV offers scant channels with good reception. The pool looked lovely although we didn't get to try it (August is winter after all!). People working at the buffet were nice, food was ok, breakfast was too --although their breakfast schedule was odd, starting at 6:40am, when many of the excursions pick you up by 7am!
The greatest downsides to this hotel were regarding service and attention. Except for one friendly woman, all the people working at the front desk were unfriendly and mostly unhelpful. They charge you a ridiculous R$3 daily to get the old fashioned safe lock (whatever happened to the digital ones?). WiFi was available at the high price of R$25 daily. They provided with the basic, but didn't offer a single quota of extra-something to make the quality of our stay here recommendable. In addition to that, they are located quite a ways from the Iguaçu Park on the Brazilian side, and even further from the Park in Iguazú, Argentina. This made any other sightseeing quite a hassle for us. It was a good thing we had a dinner plan included.

I travelled with my parents and my brother. Good reception, good service, good atention, the pool is good. But the air in the rooms is too cold and you can't regulate it, and you have few channels on the TV, but that's not so bad because you shouldn't spend so much time in the room.

Stayed here in November as part of a trip to Iguazu and Argentina. Hotel was clean, in a good location and had the added bonus of a pool which was excellent after returning from Iguazu. Chilling by the pool drinking a cool beer is a must.

The hotel staff were friendly suggesting tours, arranging taxis and suggesting restaurants.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel, good location look no futher.

We booked this hotel in advance through their web page.... chose number of rooms.... credit card information.... and finally received a confirmation e-mail with a reservation number. We printed the pages. Two weeks later and after like 10 hours driving we arrived at the hotel and surprise! they didnt have nothing but only ONE available room. We booked THREE rooms and they only had ONE confirmation. We calmly explained the clerk (ALEXANDRE ROTH) that the reservation name was right but we needed THREE rooms as clearly stated in our printed confirmation page with a RESERVATION NUMBER ON IT. And you know what he told us? That it was not their fault that IT WAS OUR FAULT despite of having a confirmation e-mail sent from Best Western web page. And worst, he said that probably we FALSIFIED THE EMAIL! How could this be possible? Yeah right, we spent hours creating a fake confirmation email just to take advantage of the confirmation web service ? Finally, after arguing, he says "this is not our fault. We are not BEST WESTERN but a hotel of Best Western brand (?) This confirmation you have is was made by Best Western online booking service in U.S. not by us." What? I thought THIS was a BEST WESTERN HOTEL? I can not believe how they do not care of best western's standards? After all, THEY ARE using their brand and franchise. When we tried to talk to the manager, the clerk faked that he was calling him but he was not and told us that the manager was not there and that, because it was saturday, it was his day off (absurd!) It was like an hour of wasting saliva so we left "very happy".... You know, when this happens... all you want is to receive, at least, an apology and I dont know.... perhaps two more rooms (even though they were not standard ones)... or maybe, but maybe, they could grab the phone and ask for availability in other hotels... come on, it was almost night... Saturday... we did not know the city... but no.... just a plain stupid look. We ended driving to nearby city in Paraguay (Ciudad del Este) and looking for a hotel. Well... just a "brief" explanation to what to expect (or not) when you book this hotel through internet... An advice... Foz do Iguacu is a great city with lots and lots of hotels to choose, but not this one. Oh, and I know is nothing and that it is common in the states (not in Brazil) but they charge for parking.
