“A very relaxing stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

We stayed here for three nights towards the end of our holiday in Brazil. Right from the initial check in we found the whole experience to be excellent. Our rooms were very comfortable, well furnished and quiet (we were not facing the pool). Breakfasts and dinners were buffet style with a good selection at both meal times. We greatly enjoyed the pool and the pool bar! The hotel is some way from the falls but this did not prove to be any problem.

Some of the external features look to be in need of some updating but there appears to be a large amount of upgrading being undertaken.

We were in Foz do Iguacu for a conference and stayed at this resort. It was a very nice place to stay and we enjoyed many of the hotel amenities. Our room had a window facing the pool area and was a good size for two people. The pool and deck area was very nice and bar/meal service to the deck area was excellent. The fitness facility was very large and had good equipment. I enjoyed using the treadmill rather than running on the local streets. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety and the dinner buffet was equally good. We also used the small library where we borrowed a book to read and left one of ours behind.

The tour group in the hotel offered good service and we booked a one day tour to the Argentinian falls. The tour guide spoke English, Portuguese and Spanish and was very knowledgeable. He stopped to exchange currency for everyone as Pesos, not Reals were required for admission to the Falls in Argentina. Note: all the shops and services after the admission fee was paid would accept Pesos, Reals or US dollars. Our guide also stopped and did all the custom clearances in both directions.

To visit the Brazilian falls we took a taxi downtown to go shopping and then went to the bus depot, just two blocks from the main shopping area and took a city bus to the falls. The same bus also goes to the airport.

The hotel is a bit remote but it was only a quick taxi ride or 25 minute walk to the Rafain Convention Centre. The area seemed safe but we didn't venture out after dark. City buses also provided a convenient way to get around but they can be crowded.

With regard to some other comments. Our room had a safe and we had to get a key from the front desk. The hotel handbook says it costs R$2.75 per day but they didn't charge us for using the safe. It wasn't convenient to have to carry a key around but it did work. Also, the internet is not free but we were there for several days and the cost worked out to about R$5.00 per day. Not very expensive by North American standards.

Overall, it was a nice place to stay and great for families. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas and on site recreation staff. They also have a games area with checkers, chess, pool, foosball, air hockey and more. There is an indoor pool and hot tub area, crafts room, bowling alley, disco, spa and two gift shops which stock bathing suits, pool toys, sunscreen and more.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool have little traffic noise and are quieter.

The hotel is good comparing price - quality. It has quite an extended gym where you can do sports. The swimming pool is suited for both children and adults, big in surface. The bar in the swimming pool is really nice and offers delicious caipirina cocktails (or beers, soft drinks, ...)
The location of the hotel is somewhat out of the centre. We walked once but it takes you a while. There is however a small supermarket close to the hotel if you need cold drinks, empanada's, small snacks against cheap prices.
The breakfast is very good, lot of choices, many kinds of fresh juices, bread, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, dulce de leche ( njammie), lot of variety.
One day we had to leave very early for a tour, before breakfast opened, but they were flexible and after request we could go earliet to enjoy the meal.
We also joined the diner buffet which was not too expensive and sufficient choices, with pastries, meat, chicken, soups, dessert buffet, ... There was also a music performance.
The rooms were old fashoined but clean.

We were using this hotel to visit the falls like a lot of other people (which is a must visit place). We enjoyed our one night stay and the bedroom and bathroom were a good size, clean and comfortable. The hotel is actually a resort with a large pool and bar area outside, plus lots of other amenities such as a disco, bowling alley, gym, etc. There are 2 large restaurants, one we had dinner in and the other breakfast. We had to eat at the hotel as there was nothing much nearby that we could see. The buffet dinner was OK but expensive, the breakfast very wide ranging but bread was hard as left uncovered, there was a lot of cake at breakfast! We had to pay for the internet by buying a card with time on it. This would be an ideal venue for a family holiday.

Beautiful resort and very well-kept. The pool is huge and awesome, and it has a pool bar. Clean hot tubs also. The food is high quality but quite pricey. Internet is not free and expensive. There was not a safe in our room or in our moms, which we thought was weird. Luckily we only stayed there two nights and did not ask for maid service because of the lack of a safe.
They only had one garbage in the room and that was located in the bathroom next to the toilet. The view onto the pool from was great. This is a great place if you're used to high American standards and can afford it. Unfortunately the location of this place is far from downtown or the falls.

Nice resort for family fun. Awesome pools (outside, with thermal water and indoor, heated), very well maintained game rooms, including modern bowling.
Restaurants are good. Wet bar is very good.
Excellent programming for kids, very good infrastructure, secure and well staffed. Even on regular weekdays.
But try to get out of the hotel and see the awesome falls and local attractions!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the woods are beautiful, At the balcony seems like you're inside the forest. But ca...
