Wonderful service and great patient people. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Perfect spot to have great food or walk to the bus station. Plus only like 10 Real for a Taxi to the bars in town. Cheers from Australia guys

The rooms are great. Comfortable. The wifi didn't work, although you get connected to the network..
They do have computers next to the reception for guest use..
The pool is not big and it doesn't have warming. They make you pay the day you check inn that was not good.. The breakfast was very good they offer a lot of kinds of food.. The employees are very friendly.. I give it an overall of three stars.. Great if you are looking for good price.. It is located next to the bus station of the city, that was very convenient for me

Stayed here two nights. Had a room in the old part of the hotel, was very clean with large shower. The room was quite small and a view of the gap between the two parts of the hotel but you don't go to Iguaçu to look out the hotel window! Air conditioning and large flat screen TV. Towels folded in to animal shapes which was a sweet touch. Staff friendly and helpful and some English speaking. Tiny pool on the roof and couple of loungers, but don't go to Iguacu to spend time in hotel. One odd thing, they lost the key to the room with pool table etc for a day, I think maybe they just wanted to keep our kids out! Good breakfast with large selection of the usual stuff. Quiet with comfortable enough beds. Good location, near the bus station. Nothing special but more than adequate for a couple of nights.

Sadly, this hotel does not meet the description on the label. Having researched the place first before coming, I was very surprised at the list of facilities - English widely spoken, cocktail bar, friendly atmosphere etc. Unfortunately, none of these are true and there is no English spoken and more heartbreaking, no bar or dining facilities (the nearest one is a hostel up the road which is very good). The staff are generally unhelpful and walk off if you need help with your traveler Portuguese, and the room are very dated - ours was full of very large ants and no hot water for the three days we stayed. The television in the rooms cannot get a signal either although they do make amusing animals out of your clean towels when you come in after a long day. Not very impressive given the price and they really did not want to help when it came to giving me my Best Western reward points, so I guess I will just have to email them when I get back to the UK (again!).
On the positive side, the townsfolk are very helpful and the Bufallo Branco restaraunt up the road is absolutely superb!

The hotel is in a great location. 2 minutes from the bus station and local tourist info office. You can get direct buses to the National Park, a bus that will take you over Friendship Bridge crossing the border to Paraguay and a bus to the Argentinian border (where you will have to change to a bus to Caratas) to see the falls from the Argentinian side. There's also a great little restaurant next door to the hotel where you can get a buffet dinner for Rs22.

The hotel room itself was sterile. I had a room on the 2nd floor in the new tower, but there was an extremely loud noise from a generator so I asked to change, which the staff begrudgingly did.
The second room wasn't much better, the noise could still be heard even when the window was closed. The first room had a double bed, the second room had 2 twin beds. Both rooms were freezing cold (although they do provide a duvet and a blanket), you are given no toiletries and the water temperature in the shower was tepid. Wifi is available in every room and surprisingly its quite fast. Unfortunately, you have to log in every day, and every day I had a problem logging in and had to ask reception to check it for me.

The breakfast in the mornings was OK. I'm not generally a fussy person, but I would not recommend this hotel especially when on check out I was charged for a tourism tax (Rs1.50 per day) which is fine however they also charged Rs30. When questioned this charge I was told it was for some kind of tourist book in the hotel room, a book which I hadn't even seen or had been told about when checking in. They wouldn't take this charge off my bill. I stayed for 3 nights and couldn't wait to leave. Stay at this hotel if you cannot find another hotel.

Room Tip: Always ask for a room in the 2nd tower (which has been newly refurbished) but on a higher floor perh...

We recently stayed at this Best Western for a 2 night stay to see the falls.

The reception staff at this hotel are just beyond rude and very unhelpful - When you go to ask for help they just stare at you like you are a lunatic, you ask your question and they then turn to there colleagues and start talking and just leave you there standing - This happened on more than one occasion and was just unacceptable, the worst member of staff for this was Leonardo, avoid him at all costs! The only helpful person on reception was Elton so always look out for him if you want somebody friendly and helpful and doesn't make you feel like an idiot!

The travel desk in the hotel that arranges trips to the falls are also just as unhelpful and quite frankly a rip off - They gave us some much duff information - Like that it takes an hour and a half to get to the Argentinian side of the falls and an hour and a half to get over the border - This was nonsense, the whole process to get to the Argentinian falls took less than an hour. They simply want to take your money for over priced trips - Don't go to them - We actually booked our trip with the Katharina Hostel a few doors down - So helpful and reasonable priced.

We wanted to do both the falls in one day (the hotel also told us this was impossible, rubbish!) but we did do it all - I admit it wasn't a leisurely trip round the parks but we knew that would be the case and we had limited time but you can do and its worth going to both!

The rooms at this hotel are very small and the breakfast is really not very pleasant at all. Overall not a good stay here at all and would suggest you look elsewhere as i'm sure there are nicer and more helpful places to stay ... although be warned this place is just very very strange but worht it for the magnificent falls!

Dear Ms Laura F,

The staff of the BEST WESTERN Hotel Tarobá Events thanks you for your comments because through them we can enhance the services provided by the hotel. Your comments about our staff were passed to the reception supervisor that has already taken the necessary steps so that this does not happen again.
Regarding the comment made about the agency, we apologize. We really encourage our guests to do only one side of the falls to be able to enjoy the beauty they offer completely. We believe that there has been a misunderstanding regarding the time for crossing the border. We usually inform our guests that the public transportion buses can take over an hour, but if you choose to use the travel agencies transportation that time decreases significantly. In addition, there is often traffic on the bridge, which can increase the crossing time. We are very sorry if that is not what we informed you.
Regarding the comment made about the room, we are very sorry not to have met your expectations, the comments about the breakfast have been passed on to the Manager who will verify the feasibility of making changes.
Again, we apologize for the inconveniences and hope you return to our Hotel so we can change your first impression.
The staff of the BEST WESTERN Taroba Hotel and Events, wishes you and your family all the best.

Well located for getting buses to the falls, airport and argentina. The staff were very helpful, breakfast buffet good and the room clean. The room was pretty small, but it didn't matter as most of the time is spent out of it.
