The hotel is located only down the street from the city's bus terminal, where there are services to the airport, Itaipu, the falls etc. there are also plenty of bars and restaurants a couple of blocks away. Breakfast was pretty good, with plenty of choice and variety.

On the downside, the sound insulation in the rooms (which are small) is not great. It is possible to hear conversations in the hall through the bedroom door.
Likewise, the reception staff is over-trigger happy in sending people to their travel counter for basic information, such as a bus number, where you then subjected to a pitch for overpriced tours.

Clean room, nice people. There is a travel agency in the hotel which arranged a driver to the falls , both Brazilian and Argentinian side. The Brazilian side was 50rs and the Argentinian side was 60rs (but the difference of the distance was huge. The driver (Daniel) was a nice guy who even brought us back our forgotten camera.
Breakfast was good. There was even the possibility to have breakfast at 4 a.m. Before leaving to the airport.

This show Hotel amenities essential for those who want good location, easy access to public transportation (there is a bus station next to the hotel), near the restaurants and fast foods. Also, the hotel has the travel agency in its facilities. This facilitates the guests to the rides.

Room cleaning is reasonable, with some inconvientes schedules. Several times the return trips in the afternoon and they still had not done cleaning the room. The bed is comfortable and the average bathroom is a good size. The room had new AC and ventilation window.

The breakfast is good. The americans will enjoy!

I return to this hotel. But, if you want luxury this is not the hotel.

The hotel is centrally located, recently refurbished and very comfortable. Rooms are spacious, with a safe, but a small closet ( ample enough). The pipes are noisy, and rooms 01 to 10 on tower 2 face the inside of tower 1 ( no view). Buffet breakfast, above average, continually replenished, excellent staff. Same excellence in the front desk, always helpful (thanks, Alberto).Cleanliness impeccable (thanks, Neusa). The hotel offers no meals other than breakfast, but there is a cafeteria two doors away and a great barbecue house next block (Bufalo Branco). They offer low speed wifi internet in your room for free, worked perfectly for email updates. There is a travel agency within premises, but we used our own, part of a package deal (CVC travel, outstanding). The hotel is smoke free.

Room Tip: Rooms 01 to 10 on tower 2 have no view

The rooms were Motel 6 quality but clean and adequate. Windows had a metal grill covering them as them only looked out on the opposite tower. Breakfast was above average with some hot options. Desk support is exceptional, and there is a travel agency on site to arrange trips to the Falls. Right downtown, so was close and easy walk to a lot of restaurants and shopping at the local vendors. There is a pool on the roof -- small and not heated but refreshing. Even a game room with a pool table and foosball and board games. Best price in town and worth the money, for sure.

Room Tip: You can either purchase high-speed internet or use one of 4 stations near the lobby.

This hotel was a welcome change after a good hotel in São Paulo and an OK one in a beach town. Hotel Taroba's rooms have everything I wanted, even the clothesline in the shower! Good lighting, outlets, wifi, safe, desk with chair, all new and modern. Soothing fountain in the narrow courtyard outside provided restful white noise. The elevator's touch pad was very hi-tech; swipe the knobs from the bottom with two fingers for best results! The front desk staff was helpful when I had problems with the business center printer. The breakfast buffet had an amazing variety of foods. The travel bureau in the hotel was great for planning trips to both sides of the falls, Itaipu Dam, etc. Good location for the city buses, and Bufalo Branco was an easy walk for dinner after long days, very safe and comfortable for a single woman.
