we have choosen this pousada because the website promisses a perfect stay. when we arrived (by bus from rio, then a 10minutes walk to the pousada) we got a good impression of this b&b; the staff was very friendly but only the owner (Maria Lourdes) speaks english. WIFI is available for free, but only works in the lobby.
you can walk to the center (famos rua das pedras) in about 15 minutes.
our room ("Bacana") was nice, but small. there was also small private garden in front of our room.
the main problems we had: the room is clairaudient and there are a lot of tiny ants (in the bathroom and bedroom) and mosquitos everywhere; so while you enjoy the really delicious breakfest you will get a lot of insect bites (i highly recommend an insect repellent!)
the hotel-area has a nice style and the pool was ok - the only bad thing: the heated pool was not heated and the jacuzzi was not switched on.
altogether: nice stay, but for a longer stay i would chooce another pousada - if there were no problems with the insects it would be really nice at villa baoba.
