We decided to eat here on our recent trip to Buzios after seeing that the restaurant was always busy when open when walking past despite being a short walk away from Rua de Pedras and the main centro area. We were very pleased that we did as the food was nothing short of superb. There is a good range of fresh fish & seafood available prepared in a number of different ways including the Brazilian specialties of moqueca and bobo. We had the latter with prawns for 2 and it was delicious, the number of prawns with the dish was phenomenal and the portion size (as with many places in Brazil) was more than enough.
Being away from the main strip and a being a smaller more rustic setting prices are very reasonable by Buzios standards, added to this the drinks menu is plentiful with beers, wines and spirits all available.
I would definitely go back to O Barco should I ever be lucky enough to find myself in Buzios again. It's the perfect venue for a delicious seafood dinner with a partner with a nice view across the bay/harbour.
