We enjoyed a lovely shared meal of grouper and calamari in this great location about 500 metres away from centro ... You are out of the hustle and bustle but still in a vibrant location with a great local feel as the fisherman loiter around with there catches of the day ... Out the front you regularly see turtles and even stingrays in the shallows but aside from all that the staff are friendly prompt and generally offered excellent service at reasonable prices certainly not cheap unfortunately has a poor wine selection but as the tables turned over regularly they maybe didn't want people stay around sipping on there wines ... We were recommended by locals and Obarco did them proud

We decided to eat here on our recent trip to Buzios after seeing that the restaurant was always busy when open when walking past despite being a short walk away from Rua de Pedras and the main centro area. We were very pleased that we did as the food was nothing short of superb. There is a good range of fresh fish & seafood available prepared in a number of different ways including the Brazilian specialties of moqueca and bobo. We had the latter with prawns for 2 and it was delicious, the number of prawns with the dish was phenomenal and the portion size (as with many places in Brazil) was more than enough.

Being away from the main strip and a being a smaller more rustic setting prices are very reasonable by Buzios standards, added to this the drinks menu is plentiful with beers, wines and spirits all available.

I would definitely go back to O Barco should I ever be lucky enough to find myself in Buzios again. It's the perfect venue for a delicious seafood dinner with a partner with a nice view across the bay/harbour.

We enjoyed our meal with great local fish and seafood. The portions were large and quality very good. The service was a bit slow otherwise would be excellent.

Among the best lobster and grouper I ever had. Go for the grilled fish/seafood main courses. Definitely the best seafood in Buzios.

We ate at O Barco at lunchtime and again on the same evening as it was really good food at an acceptable price. Wine was only R$40 a bottle, about half the price of most other local restaurants.
